Converting to 91-92 GFX
I'm going to convert my 86 to 91-92 style ground effects. Is the 91-92 rear bumper different? Also will I need a new nose or can I use the nose I have with the new ground effect?

The rear bumpers are a little different. In the picture you can see the difference between my 85's and my friend's 91. Only the bottom part is different but you need the whole bumper to make it look like the 91-92's.
I think you can just change the bottom part off the nose, but im not sure.
hope i helped out!

You might need to change the bolt holes in the bottoms of your front fenders.
Your rear bumper will need to be changed.
You can keep the same front end, just change the valance panel or front spoiler, whichever you prefer to call it.
The holes on the doors maybe differently aligned than the bolts on your new gfx, but not too sure about that.

I already converted to the newer style ground effects. And yes, you will need to replace the whole rear bumper. I'm not a big fan, however, of the 91-92 rear bumper. I don't really care for the bottom crease on it. I just left the stock rear bumper on it (87 Iroc). In addition, the stock rocker and door ground effects holes will not match, just slightly off. The front valence and hood blisters though are a direct bolt on. Yeah!
