Certifit hoods, anyone got one?

The SOB junk yard that was holding the power buldge hood sold it out from under me. . I of course told them there low class SOB's and almost dragged the SOB over the counter.
Well since thats a bust I'm curious if anyone had gotten a hood from certifit? They show two options for hoods a standard 82-92 and an 85-?? Trans Am hood. They show no option for a power buldge. There prices are reasonable $110.00-125.00. So I'm curious as to what the difference is. The place is closed so I cant call until monday. So I just figured I'd ask.

No, I haven't gotten anything from the place you're asking. If you're looking for the 'power bulge' hood like mine and you can't find it under Trans Am, look under Formula. The same hood went on Formulas from I think 87-92 or something like that. The only difference is that there were no working parts in it. The hood was only there for looks.

Thanks for the reply.
They dont list anything other than standard, SE/TA hood and I'm just going to assume the SE/TA hood they sell just has the slits on either side of the hood. It just amazes me though, this place sells fenders also, camaro one are dirt cheap $45 a side yet firebird fenders through them are $140 a side. Oh well, like sure does suck.

Factory Firebird Hoods,

There were 4 hoods
10030760 82-92 Base firebird (plain) 459,944 made
14103677 82-84 T/A and 87-92 formula (buldge) 202,237 made
10030761 85-92 T/A/GTA (Grills & Extractors) 173,762 made
10030794 85-86 S/E (Grills only) 7,467 made

And if your REALLY REALLY REALLY lucky there are some Factory Aluminum Hoods like that from 82-84 T/A and 87-92 Formulas...

hope that helps

John

Thanks guys! I just today found an 88 Formula that thier parting out in the paper, it should have the power buldge hood on it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway, now if I could just get ahold of the person.
