Locking Gas Tank Door, where to buy?

I did a search and found that some guys have gotten them at auto zone! I do not know where there is an auto zone near me. Is there any other place that sells these. I am looking for either a stock looking one or maybe a metal looking one that will not rust! I am talking about the door, not the caps. Any info or pictures would be great, thanks.

I think you can just go to www.autozone.com and order stuff to have shipped to you. Otherwise, I think steve86TA might have a spare, toss him a PM, he should be at the next gathering as well.

A locking DOOR? No kidding! Got a part #? I have a locking cap already, but hey, if I could add a locking door on top of that, I wouldn't mind!

Mom's 6000 LE wagon came with one. You might be able to rob one off a yard car. I can't imagine the doors would be all that diff car to car. Heck you might be able to mock up one with some patience. Just rob the parts off a yard car with one and convert it. Though dont forget the catch that mounts inside the gas door bucket that surrounds the filler.

Don't forget the key either.

:sillylol:

You will have to get it rekeyed to match your door key. Or steal the lock cylinder out of the locking cargo box.

Thanks guys! Erik, maybe i will send him an e-mail or something! I was looking for a sliver one or a carbonfiber looking one but a stock looking one would blend in more and look cleaner probally. It may be *****, but i like the look! It is similar to those on newer imports like the Celica TRD, or the Lexus IS 300 from Japan. It was just a thought and was hoping someone knew where to get them, thanks guys!
