Can I drill holes through the roll bar and bolt in eye bolts so I can bolt the strap ends to it or do I have to weld tabs on?

 

On my cage I had the tabs welded. I did find out when I had ordered a catalog from Simpson that there is a wrap around type of strap available here is a link to their site on installation of the belts.

Personally, I would tend to stay away from compromising the structural integrity of a cage by drilling holes in it. Just my .02
