Little mod I did In the Monte....

Ya I know it's not 3rd gen, but I wanted to show the guys at Montecarloss.com.

They don't have all the kewl features we have here.

Seats are also going in, but I need to get the driver side window fixed first.

That console is out of a 2001 Monte Carlo SS
I have the seats as well.
Power Graphite Leather. With 212 miles on them....

It required a little modification, but not much...

:hail: Monte SS

nice. although it looks a little out of place in that car. maybe once you get the seats in and maybe some door panels to match it'd be better.

Looks good. Are you gonna get black carpet? I can't stand the purple-ish interior of Montes. They are sweet cars though.

When did you get a red Firebird?

Yes I will replace the carpet.

I've had the Bird longer than my Camaro.

It was the first Fbody I bought.
It's kinda on the back burner at the moment.

It has a cracked O ring on the Dist, so it's leaking oil. I need to take care of that.

I let my dad drive it if he wants. He usually drives his 97 Cutlass (Old mans car) but he loves to drive the bird. And since I am not currently doing anything to it, I dont mind.

hey KJ Rockz,

Im thinking about buying my cousins monte ss, i think its an 83... Its like a bluish purple color, im pretty sure it has the TH350, with the hurst quarter stick, it has 4.11 posi. and a 3 inch true dual exhaust, with headers. Theres no engine, but im going to put a 355 i have in it. I dont know the color of the interior, but i guess it had a bench seat and he took it out and put buckets in. the car is really solid! there was one spot where the paint started to bubble but he sanded it down and painted that area.. he took the heater core out and now the firewall is flat.

He told me i could have it for 1300. Do you think that is a good deal. Could you tell me the pros and cons of the Monte SS.

Thanks alot

Joel

Hey KJ, I see that you have the Wolfenhag subs, are those the red ones? If so, how do they sound? They look sweet, but I want to find out how they compare to other offerings.

Hey KJ, I have an 88 monte SS--same color and the tops of everything are faded to h$ll! I really like that mod. I have the 60/40 seats w/the column shift. I definitely gotta look out for a newer Monte. keeping the stock door panels?
What did you pay?
Keeping it 3rd gen: Think that console would fit in a bird or Camaro?

Oh ya, It's definately gonna work...

I may have to may a few new holes, but its worth it.
On top of that,
1. The back seats have a fold down middle with cupholders...
2. The seat folds down entirely, and allows entrance into the trunk.

I'll keep everyone updated....
I can't wait myslef.....

Any one have the door Diagram for a Monte Carlo.
I need to get the window stuff put back together, but I cant figure it out....
