The Lowdown on 4th Gen Parts...
Well due to the overwhelming questions for 4th Gen parts and Installation......I decieded to put together a thread that contains all the information for it......with links to posts and info.....
4th Gen Seats
Simply a Direct Bolt-In, no mods needed to swap the seats.
4th Gen Seat Belts
Check the Tech Article on the main page.
4th Gen Console Swap
In Camaro

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/att...&postid=782857
In Firebird
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...th+Gen+Console
4th Gen Dash Swap
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...tting+in+a+4th
4th Gen Rims
You will need spacers to fit them on the front and rear of the car. Unless you have installed a 4th Gen rear-end you, in that case you will need spacers for only the front.
They sell them here.....
Once again feel free to add info, links, or tips.....

Hmmm...I thought you only needed a spacer in the back O_o oh well...
My dad bought a crashed 93 Z28 from his friend awhile back. And now my dad is thinking about fixing the smash and turning the car into a full drag car. If he does that hes gonna swap out the LT1 w/t56 and throw in possibly a big block. If he does that I'll have a LT1 w/t56! WOO HOO!! haha...imma talk it over iwth my dad. If all goes well by next month or so I'll have it all converted already.

just remember that a swap from a 93 car will have a few difficulties bc it's quirky like that

ive got a 4th gen console about to go in, but im doing 4th gen door panels as well. i have a couple questions:
1) i have power windows, door locks and mirrors in my 89 iroc and i wanted to use the 4th gen door panel switches to control these instead of putting the switches in the ashtray. how complicated would it be to rewire the switches into the doors instead of into the center console?
2) will the 4th gen door panels have to be modified to go in? if so, where and how much? i heard from some that it was a direct swap, but other say that the part of the door that meets the dash needs to be notched.
any input on this would be great. thanks
Damien

1) it would be pretty simple. All you woul dhave to do is route the wires that are supposed to go to your center console and route then into the door. (the wire loom part) then just go to hte switch on the door panel.
2) a part by the speaker has to but cut and covered up. Cause it interferes with the dash I believe.

The 4th gen switches can be used for the 3rd gen windows and door locks. I couldn't get the power mirror controls on the 4th gen switch to control my 3rd gen mirrors correctly.
