Photoshop help please...I really suck at it.
I've got a gauge that I need to make a white face for, with a couple of graphics added to it. Here is the scanned image of the gauge, it's a 2 1/16 " gauge.
I need a white background to match my Autometer Phantom gauges (I'll post a pic of one of them too.)
I need the Trans Am 20th anniversary symbol on both sides of the single green LED, and the TURBO Trans Am emblem above the single green LED.
Underneath the green, yellow, and red LED's, I would like the Word KNOCK to be underneath the LED's in the same arch the LED's, and have the word KNOCK have graduated colors from green to red to match the flow of the LED's. I would like it to kind of look like an emblem...a 3D effect.
Thanks for anybody's help that can lend a hand. I really suck at photoshop, and my copy of PS 4.0 is outdated.
Oh, and did I mention, I'll send some money via PayPal to whoever comes up with the best gauge face. If you have a different idea of what would look good, go for it! I'm open to suggetions. I also thought about having a ghosted image of a TTA in the background, but didn't think that would work too well.
Other images to follow.

photoshop troubles?
hey i'm goin to college for graphic design so i know all about photoshop, if u need to get rid of the back ground, theres a magic wand tool, use that and right click on the image, a list will appar and it will say select inverse (meaning background) you can just delete it and it will turn white. it might say layer is locked or whatever when u try and delete it, so u can just paint it white with the paint bucket. which photoshop do u have, 7.0 or 6.01? hope this helps any email me if u have any other questions ok

Lookin' sweeeeet...
One thing though...could you put the 20th anniversary symbol on both sides of the lower LED, and put the TURBO Trans Am words above that same LED.
That is looking great! Oh yeah...are you workin on the word KNOCK as well underneath the top LED's in an arching pattern with the word KNOCK in a graduated green to yellow to red coloring to match the LED colors.
Please forgive this crappy work, but here is what I'm talking about. Maybe lower the 20th anniversary emblems a little so the TURBO Trans Am can be lowered more, and then work on the word KNOCK under the top LED's and make it look kinda like an emblem that goes from green to yellow to red following the LED colors above the word.

You posted before I did...Damn that looks pretty good. I think I might like the three words better than one. You are the man...that is pretty much EXACTLY what I was wanting.
I think I may need to add something subtle to the background though. It seems to be missing something.
Looks great....any more artists want to take a stab at it?
I may award Afroman the prize if no one else wants to try...
