Recaro seats from Impreza
Hi,
I've been offered some factory-fitted Recaro seats from a Subaru Impreza - I haven't seen them but apparently the mounting plates are welded onto the rails.
Could I cut them off and make some mounting plates myself or is it easier to but a kit designed for the aftermarket versions and try to weld them on?
I'm not sure of the exact model - I have asked them to write it down for me.
Cheers,
Gareth
PS. Car is '85 IROC

Wow cool,
they make an interesting alternative to 4th gen seats.
did it cost a shead load, sure makes the interior look classy
hey just realised, this is an all limey post so far!

Sure is! (oringinally)
The Impreza seats are rather nice. Not very soft but they hold you in really well.

Hi,
I have been reading this forum for ages now - searching past posts has fixed all my problems up to now!
I am at the Guildford Cruise most months if any of you go - Blue '85 (B-reg) IROC, though I've just got an ex-cop Caprice that arrives this Sunday - I will probably be driving that around quite a bit now.
The Recaro's were fitted as part of an upgrade by Prodrive - more info and pic here - the person bought them off ebay and paid about £450, I think they cost £1500 originally! The seats also have a bit of heritage - the person who sold them to him was the father of that famous F1 designer bloke who specs the cars...
