Should I go black or gray????
I currently have the crap dark brown interior in my 84 Camaro. I have a set of 4th gen seats I will be installing (dark/light gray two tone cloth seats). So I will need new door panels, carpet, etc. I was just wondering if you guys think a black interior (carpet, plastic, etc.) or a gray interior would look better. Also, where can I find headliners, sun visors, and the rear speaker covers? Thanks in advance. Pics would be greatly appreciated.

I agree. I replaced the tan interior that my car had with charcoal/black from a '84 Z28. What a difference. At first I wanted gray but when I saw the two tone I loved it.
Most of the things like visors, headliners can be found in several places:
1. Guys parting out cars on the board
2. Junkyards
3. www.nextgenparts.com or some wharehouse like them
good luck

the only problem is; everyone and their dog wants a black interior, so the parts are hard to come by and expensive...
I say go with the grey, because there are lots of parts available, because it is probably the most common interior color available in the thirdgen cars....
of course I always wanted to have a 2nd car with a red interior just to be different....

The white seats get hot also :-) I had a friend with a 35th transam(he sold it after it was totally messed up in a hail storm) But hop in that car after its been in the sun it was still hot, and it was a white car with white interior with t-tops.
I say go with a combo of drk grey and grey The door panels I would match the seats two tone, go with the darker color for the carpet. Finish off the plastic trim in the lighter grey. I think that would look great.

I like gray!
I think that the gray looks much cleaner than any other color. Plus, as a daily driver, it will be easier to find parts in gray. I did the swap from Med. Beechwood to the gray. I love the way my car looks now and most people say the inside looks almost new.

I say do YELLOW!!!, just kidding,
Actually I think the black interior looks good ,but any time you get in the car at night you cant see anything because the black absorbs all the light. The gray is a little nicer in that respect. On a personal and not practical note, I like the looks of the black interior better tho.
I liked the black interior, and since I had some charcoal gray accents on my center console and dash anyway, I went with the Black, with Dk Gray and yellow accents to bring in the exterior...

Just got a Gray-Black interior out of a yard. Doing my own headliner black though, if you do that, get some extra fabric and do the speaker covers with the same. Takes about 5 extra minutes, and they look great.
