First of Many, Donor transplants/mods.

Well, I drove by the house I had been told was being seized by the local cops. All the exciting stuff had already happened days ago. My best bro works for the local law enforcement property dept. He arranges the auctions and whatnot. When he told me that a guy just 3 blocks down was having everything taken, including a whole field of cars, I got excited. "I think I saw an old yellow 3rd gen too" "it's not evidence, if you give me the minumum bid amount, it's yours, 50$" Well about a minute later I walked out with the title
to a car id never even seen. Got to the field just in time to watch them pulling this fugly gold 84 camaro out of a pricker field out back, Hmmm gold? yellow? crap. Well I towed it home earlier today and checked her out. Plenty of good parts to use on my 89. Didnt think to much about it until I went back to fixing on my 89 (like I have been doing for the past 2 weeks). And noticed my Passenger side Power Lock switch didn't work. Needless to say I had to remove those dang arm rests that are always peeling off on later models. I had a thought that maybe the 84's armrests would fit on my 89. They were black which goes with my interior, and they are in perfect shape, so I decided to try.

Turns out that the only difference is the long holder towards the front isn't molded in and is about a 1/8 inch longer. Just had to remove them, use my delta table saw and backplane off that extra 1/8 inch. Test fit went great! Looks better than those dam "dun *** unglued" ones that were in it.

This is a pic of the donor car:
