Isn't that paint like 4k a gallon, thats what my brother in law is about to paint his monty calo with.

To be honest I am not a fan of it, but to each there own.

He is turning his drag car into a show car. Go figure a 490hp car setting around at shows. If you are building a show car that would work, but a daily driver, you would kill someone if they scratched it lol.

chamoloen

well i don't know how expensive it is per gallon but I just called a paint and body shop. they said it would run around 4 or 5 grand to get it painted if the body was in good condition beacuse of the simple fact that you have to sand it down to the bare metal or it wont work. dont ask why i have not a clue. this is my street/strip car but i will promise you this. if i got it painted and someone keyed it their life would end immediately LOL

Then you would spend the rest of your life in jail. That sounds like alot of fun.

Sorry I dont have any pics, but I have seen a pic of the car with the F/X Designs front clip painted chamoeleon (the purple/green one). But yes the paint is very very expensive and it takes alot of prep work to make it nice. Goto this link: www.houseofkolor.com and click the Specialty Products. These guys are at the forefront of automotive paint technology if you ask me.

That's

Try PPG Harliquin
R-M Extreme
Dupont Chromalusion

Look at all the "rounded" paint chips before deciding on any one color.

It's expensive. And honestly, it's looses a lot of it's effect when a whole vehicle is done. Looks almost overdone somehow. In a two-tone or stripe combo of some kind it's looks pretty good. The only color that looks good on the whole car is R-M's Mystique. It was put on the Saleen Mustang 6-7 years ago. Unfortunatly, it's not for sale to the public.

you have to get caught to go to jail.

Yeah it is fairly expensive but I think if you do it right it could look nice. If any one has any ideas, throw htem out. I don't know what exactly I want other htan that but it is probably out of my price range
