91-92 Camaro Z28 High Rise Wing... HELP!!!
Ok i have a 88 sport coupe camaro lots and lots of mods including fresh paint... it has that shorty wing they put on that year and i wanted to know how much trouble it would be to put a high rise on. looks close and evon if the holes dont mach up are the close enough to corver where the old holes were.? i dont want to end up filling holes and sanding down the hole deck lid agin. its no fun.. also the best price i have seen on a high rise is $245. any one know a web a place that can do better. if i did get one i would probley try to put a brake light in. i like the one thats in my spoiler i have now.. seeing how i dont have a 3rd light in the window. i was thinking of shaving it making a little tilt to give it that fuctional look too. nuthin drastic. it just looks like the ones ive seen make upforce.. lol they look sooo cool tho

hey I have the same car as you and I plan on doing the same thing. Here is a website I found on here with the light in the spoiler. I don't know if anyone has ever purchased this spoiler on here so I couldn't tell you if it matches the holes. My brother has a 91 Z28 so I will go measure his holes and see if they line up. But still I am not sure about the aftermarket spoiler and the holes lining up. here is the site.

OOOOOOOoooooooh man thank you thank you. i Am LOVEN that spoiler with the light. that is great im going to measure my buddies to see hole close they car.. but i think the out side holes on his are closer to the edge of the deck lid :-( and i dont know about the 2 inside ones. i will soon find out

well i recently recieved the high rise spoiler for my 88SC i also have that shorty wing with the third brake light. Pretty much all of the holes will not match up. The spoiler is sitting in my room Im still deciding what to do with it but anyways half off the middle holes will show up and you will see all of the side holes. so unless you want holes in your trunk there gonna have to be filled in.

Well.. even though I haven't fishined painting the car yet.. I'm really starting to lean towards the blue I wanted to originally paint it and I don't think the wing would look as at place on a blue firebird. Don't get me wrong tho.. I do like it (the wing) as it is but.. I'm satrting to lean towards one of the GTAuto wraparound wings (indecided on year/gen. there tho)

Hope that spoiler from spoiler2000 fits for you, I ordered one and the thing was basically twisted from end to end, not to mention its kinda cheap hollow plastic rather than urethane or fiberglass.
Jegs has them again but by Wings West this time and they are urethane like the factory spoilers $189.99 plus S&H mine should be here later this week.

Like I said test fit yours on the car, they tried to claim my car was twisted or something or I had an aftermarket trunk and all kinds of BS before I finally threatened to call my credit card company to do a chargeback, I have a hatch from an actual 91 Z28 that had the holes, they lined up, but it was like it was twisted longways to where if the drivers side was sitting flat the front pass side was about 1" off the car, so yes after much fighting i did send it back, also I did not have the light model, just the regular.

Hey... I guess I'm not the only grey 88 SC with that wing. Mine's 2 tone though. Its the only wing in all 10 years they made these cars that I don't like, and its what I've got. I plan on doing the Z wing, 91-92 GFX, and a new hood all at once and just repaint the whole car since it needs a door and quarter repainted as well. Thats about 2 years down the road.

Actually.. I'm starting to like the 4thgen wing more and more (just not how tall it is, is the problem). Plus, the highrise was the only thing I could afford at the time that looked descent. Now that I make the big bux tho.. (as if.. lol)
I'll most likely be keeping it for awhile longer.. I've only got $210 saved up in change.

I'll be changing wings again in a few months. Just don't know what I am going to go with. It has to look good on a notchback though.

I've always liked those wings. So long as they are the stock ones.
How do you think it would look on a 83Z?

I have a saleen wing...ordered it from ebay and turned out to be slightly twisted. Man was I pissed when I saw that. But the seller said it was in used condition so ebay wouldn't make him take it back. I still managed to make it look ok.

i think what actually makes it look bad is the lack of a gfx piece on the rear left corner ... the bumper and door look wierd and it throws the whole thing off
edit - lol just noticed the nose cone is wrong too ... =/

I just put those GFX on yesterday, and I know the bumper is wrong; I'm getting a new '89 bumper and fiberglass fenders and hood soon. The wings not even on right now; I am debating on leaving it off and putting one on like that black one with the notchback up above.
