quick ? on the dash in my 91 z28

alright, im about to start replacing broken and missing parts in my interior and right now my main ? is on the instrument panel (where the lights ****, lighter **** and stuff are at) the spot up under my light **** what is supposed to go there? there is a hole, where something used to be. i have my **** for my lights, cigarette lighter and im guessing the switch under my lights is for the fog lights, not sure, b-cuz someone took those out to (which ill be installing some new ones soon) but if anybody knows what is supposed to be in that spot i would greatly appreciate it

thanx,
jonathan

What type of f-body do you have, Mine has a cover plate in two spots where the option was not installed on the car, such as the defroster in ther rear.

I don't have a pic of what im talking about but here is the shot of the one under my temp, on my firebird.

The cover plate, is not easy to get out unless you are trying so someone probably had it out.

I am planing on getting some of the switch modules and using them for some custom things, Like turning on and off my rear 6x9 when I have people back there.

aviator, the spot on your firebird isn't for fog lights, thats where my power/gain adjuster for the factory stereo amplifier goes. damn i wish it still worked, doesn't seem like there is power to it, but there will be when i get another amp

Sorry I didn't mean that panel was the rear defroster, I ment the one below the lights on the other side, that was just the only pic of the cover plate I had.

Sorry for any confussion.

I was just letting him know if the option wasn't on the car it would have a cover plate.

Yes the one under the light switch is the fog lights and....

the one under the lighter is for the defroster.Could it be the convertible top switch if your top is electric?
