clear side markers for 82-84?

I want to get a set of these for my 84 Camaro. The '98-'02 side markers look like they're the same size, but I'm not sure. Anyone have ANY information on this?

OK, well I guess I'll have to figure this out myself. Does anyone have measurements on the 98-02 side marker lenses?

They make them for your car, doing a search would have produced many threads with a link to procarparts.com

I'm pretty sure all thirdgen sidemarkers are the same size.

On the site it says, 85-92 Camaros. However my friend got some and they fit his 84 camaro perfectly.

I think you'd get spanked down by John Law if you run red turn signals up front. Clear with amber bulbs will fly, but red will most likely get you unappreciated attention from your local boys in blue.

You mileage may vary. Just so we're on the same sheet of paper - I'm talking about the ones on the front of the car - NOT the side markers up on the left and right fenders. I've never seen red front turn signals sold for our cars. Sidemarkers? Yeah, usually clear with different colored bulbs - and you'll probably still get busted for running red up front. I've got clear side markers, and I run amber up front and red out back.

I have a feeling that you are talking about the front parking lamp/turn signals. I ordered a new set from GM and they where clear. See they are suppose to be clear its just over the years they turn that weird rotten color. So if you want some new ones just go order some at a local dealer, when i ordered them they where $40 a peice.

85maroz28: i think the front blinkers are a different size from 82-84 compared to 85-92. I'm not sure, but you think you could measure the front lenses you have there in the first picture? Let me know where you measured it from (mounting screws, the outer lens, the actual opening, etc) so I can compare it to mine. Where did you get those? I'd almost venture to say you simply took off the lens.

Just an FYI in Georgia if the light is not DOT approved and the cop wants to you will get a ticket for $92 my neighbor got one 1 mo ago. He had clear tail lights with color bulbs wich is technically legal if they are dot approved, his was not. His 20 dollar lights cost him 92 in fines.

So check your state law before you go making your own lights, especially if you have other stuff that they will pull you over for, they love tacking on extras.

1982-84 front marker lights are different in size and sit back farther in the front clip. Yes these light are homemade/custom. The old lense get taken off and replaced w/ a clear plexi-glass cover.

the 82-84 front turn signals were orange, where the 85-92 z/28, IROC, RS and 88 SC got clear that were different siae and those turn wird color.

In fact, i think they go for $35 a peice now, not sure...

Some good Rubbing compound, plastic Polish and a dremel can make those turnsignals look spanking new!

It apperas some people are getting confused between cars. The thread starter has a 84 Camaro which only has the yellow sidemarkers on the fenders.

The firebirds got two sets of sidemarkers, yellow in the front fenders and red ones in the quarters....

Just to clear some confussion up

Yeah I got the sidemarkers sorted out. I'm just looking for clear front blinkers. Not entirely clear, but with the reflective lenses. 82-84 front blinkers are different than 85-92, which sucks, cause I'm pretty sure someone makes them for 85-92. Can anyone make a pair of clear reflective lenses for 82-84 Camaro front blinkers?
