Anyone ever use Neutra Rust 661?
I found some of this stuff sitting in my garage and rather than going out and spending all kinds of $$ on por-15, if this stuff is any good, I want to use it.
This is the product info website Neutra-Rust
I tried it on one spot on my fender, it turned black and sands pretty nicely.
I was wondering if anyone knew how good this stuff actually is at stopping rust. I'm about to get the car painted and the last thing I want is rust coming through my new paint job.
Thanks

Looks like it's good stuff. I've used three rust systems, por-15, "rust avenger", and some crap in a rattle can made by permatex. The rust avenger was a pen with rust conversion stuff in it. I've used it on little nicks on my paint that rusted; it turned the rust black, discolored the paint around it a bit (oops, I was sloppy), and I haven't seen those spots rust further.
Avoid the rattle can crap. It's thin, doesn't sand well, and does not stop rust. Want proof? See my pics at this message: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=108890 Careful, there's a ton of pics on there from other people too, so it might take a while to load.
That permatex stuff (can't remember the name, dark blue & black spray can) is the only Permatex product I am unhappy with. Total crap. I feel my blood pressure rising already.
