Damanged Nose Repair
I have an 86 Sport Coup. The body is in decent shape except for the nose plastic center bottom has about a 3" piece missing. Looks like a past owner hit a pole or something. There is no damage to the area behind nose and the edges of the damaged area are clean. Is it possible to repair the missing section with fiberglass with maybe a metal back brace spanning the gap? I live in Arizona and because car bodies last so long finding a good body in a bone yard is hard. Most cars end up there due to accidents.
Also I'll need a good source for touch up paint. What is the best brand for Camaro matching paint? Mine is dark red.

Fabricating that spot sounds like a great idea, and a fun project! You'd use a fiberglass sheet, and I believe you can lay fiberglass directly over the sheet. You'd attach the sheet (somehow, don't know how, tape?) "behind" the repair area. Then you'd use the fiberglass filler (is "filler" the correct name?) to fill the small 1/8" gap between the front of the bumper and the "indent" where the fiberglass sheet is.
The local "chain-style" (like Pep Boys, Autozone, Strauss, etc) sell the fiberglass filler and fiberglass sheets by me; maybe you can find it at stores near you. It's usually sold right next to the bondo. Keep us posted on how it goes! Practice on a piece of wood or something before you work on the actual car...
