You will need new door hinges, run a search on that and i belive some people on here listed down where to get them.

Before u run out and buy some i would make sure that the bolts are all tight around the area where the hinges connect to.

to use that one site u need to erase that last period at the end where it says html

I believe the hinges are welded to the door from inside the door.

Order Andy's new greasable hinges, I have them installed, and they are terrific. The entire car has less squeaks and rattles!.

Cheers

Yeah....lets go out and buy new doors because they're sagging.

All you need to do is buy new pins and maybe a hinge. And as stated above, make sure the bolts around the hinges are tight.

He might also want to look at the rust on the bottom edge of the door; if it's extreme, replace the door, AND the hinge.

My passenger side door is really bad; I've been putting off on replacing the door (it's badly rusted, too) until I do the 1/4 panel. But, for kicks, I opened the door, grabbed the bottom by the latch, and lifted up and down. The door moved a good 3-4 inches! Wow.

Bushings/pins are dead

High Perf Pontiac December will cover this on a third gen GTA. Your bushings and pins are probably wasted. I am not familiar with Andy's kit, but new bushings and pins are about $15.00 from the dealer, or you can also buy the inner hinge halves already loaded from Year One.

We just replaced the bushings and pins in the bottom hinge. Now the door has no sag and closes with 2 fingers. Dec HPP comes out 9/24.

The door hinges on ALL 3rdgen F body cars are WELDED to the door from inside the door. This makes hinge replacement very difficult.

Only the LOWER door hinge can be serviced with replacement pins & bushings.

The UPPER door hinge is a one piece design, and cannot be rebuilt. It must be replaced as an assembly buy cutting it off the door. I can tell you this is no easy task.

This was the only method of correcting the root cause of sagging doors on many of these cars. Until I developed a repair kit for the UPPER door hinge.

Many members have used my kit with great success. Now that I have a "truly" greaseable upper dorr hinge repair kit. The hinges can, and will last indefinitely.

I will be interested to see how "High Performance Pontiac" solves this problem with the UPPER door hinge. Remember the door has two hinges.

Bushed

Andy/everyone

Our upper hinge was fine, we didn't do anything with it. The dealer sells a kit with 2 shorter pins for the upper hinge, you have to cut the old pin out or grind away the swedge, which is a major pain in the butt. The new short upper pins stay in by gravity. It didn't look like the most attractive solution, so we didn't screw with a good hinge.

Perhaps if you decided to advertise your product line in HPP, more people would see it and know about it (including us at HPP), and we would use it in future stories.

If you would like to do a new products release (no charge) on this product, please send me an email and we will work out the details.

Thanks
