my first repair work
I just finshed my repair work and i am happy. Okay it was a MAJOR repair but it was the first I did w/o a man!
I replaced the center console. It was coming apart and had only two screws in the front and non in the back.
But it was an adventure. I had to figure out how to put the bit on the drill and it wouldn't fit. finally figure out what i was doing wrong. I felt like afterwards roaring..

is it me or are flat black firebirds reallllly awesome. mine has faded black paint, i think i might just black primer it and leave it. looks tough IMO. lol only unlike cfirebird's 'bird, mine has the V8 under the hood to back up that tough look. J/k any thought on that?

COngrats! Wait'll you're elbow-deep in grease and wondering to yourself why you didn't just pay your mechanic-friend to change the rotors and pack that damn grease for you...grumble....

I actually have a wife that has been in the barn helping with the project car almost every night. She even did most of the wrenching to get the old motor out, and is now working on stripping the engine bay. That must be the reason I have kept her around for the last 15 years, or maybe she finnally realized that if she wanted to see me at all she might as well come out and help
