Power Antenna snapped in half!!
Does the mast rebuild kit for the power antenna come with the actual silver retracting antenna itself or will I need to buy a whole new power antenna unit? New power antenna will run me $165.00 from local Chevey dealer.
My unit has retainer clips around the motorassembly to take it a apart but I also noticed that there are small rivets keeping the unit together. Can this unit be seperated?

Why not just get a power antenna from JC Whitney?
Or, do what I did, and replace the stupid pain in the butt with a regular 'ol $15 whip antenna?

I am going to take a ride to Autozone and see how there universal antenna looks. I am not going to spend $165.00 for an antenna, thats for sure.
Does JC Whitney sell anything worth buying? Do they have power antennas for Pontiacs?

I don't know how good it is, but I do remember a power antenna for $50. Have you checked the junkyards at all? I wonder if an antenna from a newer GM car would work just as well...
