Verts Cold In The Winter?

When I bought my convertible last month it did not occur to me that 4 months of the year in Tennessee are freezing cold. Now I'm trying to decide if I should keep the vert or sell it and buy a T-Top. I've had no trouble keeping cool in the car ,even with the top down, but is the car gonna be hard to warm up? Any comments or tips to help with the decision are appreciated.

I have had no problem with my 'vert in the cold weather, the heat kicks butt in my car. The biggest pain in the butt is when your plastic back window freezes! Just give it a little extra time to warm up because it cools down inside a lot quicker.

Thanks for the reassuring words. Some of my friends had scared me into believing that I would freeze to death in the winter. They're just jealous I have a vert.

Move to Texas! Can drive the 'vert all year except for July/Aug - too damn hot for a black/black/black 'vertible...

I drove my vert here in NY this whole past winter amd it was no colder then my t-top Monte Carlo had been. Only problem I had was the 160 degree thermostat made the engine take a while to heat up. Thank goodness we hardly had any snow this year, I wasn't looking to dealing with the Camaro in the snow. Definately be careful with the back window though, they are extremely delicate! You just need to get used to driving with no rearview for those frosty mornings.

89 Iroc Vert- Your car is f'ing gorgeous!

sometimes I've gotten hot with the top down and the heater kicken full blast. But i agree black/black/black is not the best combination, especially in Florida.

And whatever you do, don't but the top down when the back window is really cold. It's brittle in that condition and can split!
No problems with my convertibles when I lived in colder climates. The 91/92 (not sure about 90) tops are lined, makes them warmer in winter, cooler in the summer and quieter all around. However you cannot line a 89 and back top.
