Power door lock (2 problems).....

Hey guys, I have a viper alarm system with the keyless entry, but when I go to unlock the car, the drivers side one will partly unlock, but not all the way, and the door will not open. The lock thing on the inside will slide out, but not all the way, it acts like its stuck. How do I fix this? Also, today when I went to press the unlock button(on the inside of the car on the door panel), the buttons fell into the door. Now there is a hole in the door where the lock unlock buttons are supposed to be. Why did this happen and how can I fix it?

here's a thread pertaining to the sticky lock issue

use the search feature and you'll find lots more info on the topic.

As for the lock button falling into the door, it sounds like the panel retaining tabs are cracked. New lock panels are less than $20 at the dealer. Might be a good idea to pick up a new lock switch too, they are less than $10/each at the dealer.

You can also just hot glue the lock/unlock switch from the inside and save urself some money.
