replacing seatbelt

ok my buddy has an 83 z28 hardtop,and he needs to replace his passenger side seatbelt.he already bought the replacement,he just needs to know how he has to go about doing it.like is there anything special tool wise that he needs,or is there any special way to get the headliner off,stuff like that.any help would be appreciated.we're going to tackle the job tomorrow(well,today actually,as it is 12:45 AM! ).any help would be appreciated.thanks a bunch!

Not taxing from a technical point of view (I replaced both the front belts in my '89 RS), just take a bit of care with the headlining and plastic trim. You'll need to take off the coat hook from the rear sailpanel, loosen of the screws in the top plastic trim on the tailgate/roof area, and around the door/rear sailpanel. The mounting in the roof is x2 bolts only, and in the floor its a hex bolt. (v.stiff and may require oil and a bar extension). Just try not rip the headliner, and not to bust too many plastic trim fixings!
