t-top seals
well i priced the all the seals for my 89 iroc and i am going to buy all new the door seals and all new t-top seals that are availible to repalce because my car is black and all the seals are baked to a crisp. for all the seals on both sides it will cost me $703 from my local chevy dealer. now my question is, is there any place that sells real gm replacment seals for cheaper.
thanks

I've been looking at The Paddock for the kit they have. They are advertising a kit for t tops for around $400.00. Its supposed to be a complete kit with all the weatherstripping for the whole car with T-Tops, doors, hatch, hood, etc. I don't know if its genuine GM products or not. They do have genuine GM weather stripping for sale in there though. Being that I'm a mechanic at a Chevy dealership, I know for a fact that the markup is close to 100.00%. You pay roughly twice as much as dealer cost is. I can get parts for cost plus 10% where I work and its still pretty high. I'm looking into this kit because its cheaper than I can get it all seperatly through work. Also you'd have to deal with trying to get all the weatherstripping. They would probably have to special order and piece it together from dealers all over the country. More and more parts for our 3rd gens are being discontinued. Anyway, check out http://www.paddockparts.com/
I had to get a calalog from them as they don't have very much on the site. Good luck and let me know if you find any others that sell the kits.

P.S. also try out http://www.gmpartsdirect.com if you can get the part numbers. Their markup is pretty low.
