Ahh, proving once again that paint accents in an interior can be tastefully done .

Not really turning my crank, but I've never been one to get all excited over Krylon modifications anyway. At least it looks like it was well done and not brushed on like some dolts I see.

Hey thanks for the input guys, I wasnt much for the "krylon modifications" either, but it was a lot cheaper than stainless steel which i plan on doing down the road.

i ahve to agree with jim, it is nicely down, and i compliment you on that, but i'll never do that myself

Stainless steel kit doesn't really " turn my crank" either. ( hehe i like that phrase )

Looks nice man!

Just thought I'd add in a few pics of my interior accents as well, while on the subject.

Looking good chevyken, i got the idea to do mine off your post on here from awhile ago. You gotta do something about those red door pannels though man those are killing the appereance.

Thanks guys,
The red panels are gone. I've got a set of gray ones in there for now. I didn't get the time to redo the doorpanels/rear panels in a matching neutral color, but it IS coming The gray is not quite as bad as the red though..

yeh, you make grey look good! kinda makes me wish i wasn't halfway through a black conversion (this 90 degree weather ain't helping anymore either) just thought i'll share that. Good that you got door panels. What kind did you get. Vinyl or cloth? Maro or Bird? What year/style?

Looks good, thinking about doing something similar. RamAirZ has a similar paint job inside as well, I'm sure he'll run across this sooner or later.

That is just regular old spray paint i used, i put on a couple coats, then hit it with a clear coat, hopefully it holds up. I didnt do too much to prep the plastic, cleaned it all off, and taped some of it 0ff, then i took some real fine sandpaper and roughed up the smooth spots on the face plate that goes around the radio, other than that i didnt do anything to the plastic, i was suprised how good the paint stuck to it.

How reversible is painting your interior? i.e., I paint it and I don't like the color, etc, can I use paint stripper to get it off, or will that eat through the plastic too? Has anybody sanded down their panels so that they're completely smooth instead of textured? Thanks, Joe

If you use some stripper it will dull the original black color.........you can always paint it over again black with a black color and clear coat.....

Yup. just paint it again.

It's much easier, and you still get the same desired result.

Some paint strippers will melt plastic.........
