what exactly is the rpo code bs1 (acoustic insulation)? What is its point? Its on my 84 t/a

Axle/Gears: 3.73
It's extra sound deadening material underneath the carpet and underneath the plastic panels in the luggage compartment. Supposed to keep out road noise and exhaust rumble. According to the "White Book" 1986 was the last year for "BS1" so I'm guessing starting 1987 any F-car that got the upgraded cloth or leather interior automatically got the extra sound deadner.
