Auto Shift Plate Options

Hello All,

I have a question regarding the shift plate on the center console. Basically, I want to replace mine as it is dilapidated, and I am curious as to know if there are other options than the factory one for a 1988 IROC. Can the shift plate from a TA W/ the leather boot be installed? If not, is there a better looking one for a automatic camaro than the one I have? I really don't care for the "corrugated" look of the shifter track cover. Can anyone offer up some ideas?

thanks,

You could get a plate for a stick shift and a leather shifter boot. Or make a skinny shift boot and put it in place of the corrugated plastic slider, keeping the auto plate intact.

I know what you mean, The Shift plate in my 86 is much cooler than the one in my 89. I don't know why they changed it. The only problem is that the one from my 86 does't show you what gear your in. I guess that's not a problem for me.

Buy & Install the B&M Console Megashifter; then you get one hell of a cool shift plate. http://www.bmracing.com
