89 RS Convertible Tail fin

I have a tail fin on my convertible that keeps coming off. The posts on the fin(Spoiler) came apart. Used every glue possible. Anyone fixed such a problem?

The OEM method of attaching is a stud in an injection molded plastic piece that is hot-melt glued to the spoiler. Either the hot-melt glue fails or the plastic breaks. Either way the spoiler comes loose. I fixed this by fabricating some brackets from aluminum and epoxying them to the spoiler. I drilled an oversized hole in the bracket then installed a J-clip on it. Then I attach the spoiler with a bolt and washer from below. It hasn't come loose since. Lon
