Dabe, the grill change is an easy swap. The iroc grill will have 4 mounting holes on the sides of the middle that you will have to screw into your front nose. Here is a picture of the iroc grille. I drew arrows pointing to the new mounting points. easy to do.

If you're willing to pay $30-50 for a used one, you might as well go to www.gmpartsdirect.com and get a new one.
Punch in these numbers and you can buy the part "at cost" plus shipping.....something like $30-40. Here's the numbers:
10139545 -- Z28 Grille (91-92 Camaro Z28, with bowtie on front)
14081332 -- Z28 Grille (85-90 Camaro Z28, with "camaro")

Hmm.. if $30 to $50 bucks is to high, what do you normaly see them go for? I have an 83 Z28 that I would like to put 92ish ground effects on and I really have no clue what all I will need to get much less what a good price for it would be.

OK.. to bad I have to have one in minnesota.
Still better looking than the RS grill I had before.
Wish I could take off the plate, put I'd rather not get pulled over by the cops and have them find all the other stuff on my car the I can't have there.

yea it will bolt right in like nothing...I was going to put one of those in...but then I bought a R34 GTR skyline bumper and soon Im going to custom it onto my car. My car is gonna be slammed! the bumper is about 2" lower then my current bumper which means I will have to go very sideways and very slow over speedbumps haha...

That guy on ebay is making a mint. Those grills sell for less than $50 at the dealer. I have seen them go for $60+ and he always has them on there. Too bad about the car Dabe, good luck with the grill though (if it is a survivor). Like it was said before, don't blame some people for the choice to run a front license plate, the states decide and it is a lot safer than sorry!

It was pretty easy. On some cars, I think the RS grille looks better, on others I like the Z style. On mine, I like the new one
I haven't put the fog lights in yet, Its just a PITA without factory brackets that theres no way I'm gonna pay for. I'm just gonna make some whenever I get around to it.

About the front plate thing...it is definately better to be safe than sorry. You have to have a front plate here in Ohio also. I went for about 2-3 years without one and in the process got pulled over about 3-4 times for it. Everytime, I just told the officer that the bracket was broke until one day I got pulled over in my neighborhood and the officer told me that he had better never see me without it again or I would be getting a ticket. No Thanks! I put it back on. I agree that it looks dumb, but hey, you gotta do what ya gotta do. Later

I'm in the process of repainting my nose cone. I have left the plate in the passenger side of the front window. Removeable when I want to, but in place most of the time. Haven't been stopped yet.

That is a good point. I did that for a while also, but I got tired of having it up there. In my opinion, it looked stupid. But I did it anyway. Ah...the loopholes we all try to find within our laws!

Have you noticed that a lot of the pictures posted on the site have front plates in the window vice the grille? I just opened a few in other threads and I was amazed that I didn't notice before.
