Hey, Disturb,
Good to see another Kansas Camaro lover. Note that my 85 IROC is silver, somewhat rare.

As 90 z28ss stated, Medium orange metallic is one of the rarest colors that you could get, it was only available in '88 on 3010 camaros.
It's one of those love it hate it colors.

Disturb,
Though I've never visited Claflin, I'm somewhat familiar with the area--I once coached tennis against Claflin, Lindsborg, Ellsworth, Russell, Salina, etc. I remember the Claflin coach very well, a slightly baulding, middle-aged man, whose named I've unfortunately forgotten. The Belleville Car Show is on Father's Day. We usually have 350 to 500 cars. Should you have nothing better to do, come on up. Belleville is straight north of Salina some 10 miles from the Nebraska line.

Disturb,
James Cole. I retired from coaching, perhaps, five years ago. I believe Norton is more like two hours or so from Belleville.

Purple haze metallic anyone? You'll have to excuse the rims, they are looking low and dirty:

I haven't seen many like mine. Not that I'm calling it rare, I've just only seen one other like it driving, one belongs to Mark305TBI (at least I think thats his name) and i've seen one that was an IROC in a picture that i don't remember where i ran across. Pic in sig provided it works today. Second thought I'll attach a picture just in case.

These are some cool colors. I like da purple one of pimprod92RS and the silver Iroc of JamesC. But can no one tell me if my car is a rare color? I'm guessin its not, but I still haven't seen any like the color of mine. Let's see more rareness here . howabout a list of rare colors and the years they were produced and how many? Anyone got one?

The color is Gunmetal Metallic Grey... from what I understand, its just about the rarest color on the firebird line. Im not sure if Camaros got Gunmetal Grey, but I know it is similar. I cant explain how awsome the car looks when its clean and shiny. I remember one day a long time ago I had just got done detailing it, and it looked sooooo good! I snapped 2 polaroids of it, which came out blurry. The next day I got into an accident with her, and hasnt looked the same since... now every time I walk outside and see it sittin high with no motor, and the paint all crappy, I almost cry!
Thats why this summer I AM DETERMINED to get her back to where she should be! I just won one NOS bird emblem on ebay, so now I only need to find 4 more!

Ok, I ran the RPO code on my car and this is the color thing that came up:
87Q : MOLDING COLOR, GUNMETAL MET (92)
87U : PRIMARY COLOR, EXTERIOR, GUNMETAL MET (91)
Does this mean it is monocrome, or what?
Oh hey, JamesC, B remembered you! I go "B, I was talkin to this guy on da net and he said he coached against you about 5 years ago and he's from Belleville." B goes "James Cole? Nice guy, I liked him." I was like "dam B, good memory!" I also think that me and a buddy might just hit the Belleville car show . If we do, I might have to look ya up, I love your car, I wanna see it in person.
