Attention To Those In the Central New Jersey Area and PA!!!!!

I just wanted everyone to know about an upcomming car show that maybe you would like to participate in...it will be April 21st, a sunday, at the DeVry on RT.1 North in North Brunswick, NJ. Its called the Cops N Rodders car show, sponsored by the North Brunswick Police Department....I participate every year, however, my 3rd Gen isnt in good enough conditiion to show...so i show my C5. But anyway, this is the deal...its $15.00 for pre-reg, $18 the day of the show. The show runs from 9am till 2pm. Your car will be judged for trophies. Each car also gets its picture taken, for a plaque that is engraved and is available for purchase for $10(i think). CJCFO(Central Jersey Camaro and Firebird Organization) will be meeting up 1hr early i believe before the show at the bowling alley in North Brunswick(right next to RT.1 north, just after the rt.1 and rt.130 circle). They do this every year, and form a huge caravan(last year with a police escort) to the show...a really awesome sight...and more representation of F-body's is ALWAYS welcome...so please, come out and show your support and your car!! If you need any information, or have any other questions, feel free to contact me at: PhantomLo@aol.com...i have the registration form for the show..if you want to participiate, i can scan it, and email it to you. Hope to see some people there...it would be really awesome!!!

Roughly speaking, about an 1hr from Long Island. All are welcome...if you are from PA or NY, and have a 3rd gen, and want to come out for this event, you are welcome!!! The more F-body's, the merrier...year does not matter!!!

Hey Phantom TPI, I plan on being there (with all of the F-bods from SLP day, MAFBA, and the CJCFO)

Phantom TPI, Did you ever come to any CJCFO meetings at CarParts FX in WhiteHouse NJ? I think I remember you and your car...I was there w/ a blue and silver 84 T/A.

There is a Northeast board. I think I'm gonna go, might be a spectator though, and maybe not.

Mikes86SC....if it's an F-body, its welcome. I havent seen any v-6s there in previous shows, but who cares? Last year there were some rice-a-roni mobiles there, so if they are showing those, why the hell not? I will scan the form tonight after work and send it to you.

TAdan...

Yes, i used to show up at the CJCFO meetings at the CarParts in Whitehouse...off of rt.206 on Tuesday nights. I dont show up anymore, becasue I moved to PA I might however, be working in NJ this summer...if I do, I plan to attend those meetings for the summer at least. My TA was silver and gray....and had the red pinstripe around the car by the lower gray GFX. I do remember a blue and silver TA....it had some really nice aftermarket wheels that I liked, and newer seats...different color than the carpet, but the contrast actually worked well. Maybe it was you I talked to about the wheels and seats? But I am glad you are going, I will see you there...do you know what time everyone is meeting up at the bowling alley?

IROCZ...

You should put your car in the show!!! Its gonna be a good time man...dont see too many IROC's anymore...at least I dont.

Heh heh, if I have an IROC-Z by then I probably will, going to look at a 1 soon. Still have the RS I know some1 with a 35th SS that will be there and maybe his fiberglass paneled 84 Z28.

Bring the RS This year, I'd like to see more F-body's there than last year...last year, there were about a dozen, give or take a few....but this year, we should almost double the number...that's something I'd like to see....a HUGE caravan of F-bodys Good luck hunting down an IROC....hope you get it soon

Thanks TPI. I would bring the RS but the paint is starting to chip on the bumper again (for the 2nd time within 2 years) and 1 night when it was parked in the garage something fell off of a shelf and put a dent in my right front fender. (had no dents before that). The car looks pretty nice overall, but I wouldn't put it in a show, a few years go maybe, now nah. And I don't wanna fix it because of the IROC-Z shopping.

TADan...

Yea, thats was a sweet TA you had...it was in WAY better condition than my 86!!! You really kept that car in good condition...really nice, clean car. Back then, when we met, I was looking for a 4th gen-style radio/cd player...well, I finally found one last summer...bought it from a kid with a 99 Grand Am GT for $200 bucks...it was still new...dealer wanted $900. He even wired it up for me. So now it looks sweeter than ever. Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing you there....and let me know what CJCFO says about when they are meeting up at the alley.....thanks

IROCZ...

That sucks that something had to fall on the car! At least come out though to the show. Hope you find your IROC soon....maybe soon enough for the show? That would ROC

I'm gonna try to make it, however i am currently in Newark Delaware gettin' an Education. How far up route 1 are we talkin here? How far from the 295 entrance to Rt. 1?

I wont show my car, but i will definately show up. Maybe I will talk my dad into bringing his '85 2.8 V-6'er to chase down those ricers ... haha

Sweet.

The DeVry on Rt 1 North in North Brunswick....about 2 miles or less from the Rt.1 and Rt.130 Circle(where all the construction is now in North Brunswick)...just before the Rutgers campus...Idont know exactly how far it is from 295...probably 30min i would guess...maybe less..depending on traffic...rt.1 sucks...too bad you cant make it with your car....its really sweeeeeet

I'd definately join the caravan, and Jim86Bird might also ... however, my car is in no way show worthy. Are there usually stock cars in the show that are just 'clean'?

Man...I've seen a 1991 Cadillac in the show...all stock, nothing changed...no mods...nothing...why?? But thats a Caddy... As for F-bodys, there have been stock F-body's to the most outrageous....10-second streetable Camaro's....so anything goes...the more Fbody's the better. From the looks of it, your paint matches at least...my front and rear bumper covers are faded to hell, and i have small dents along both doors from jack@$$es that dont care and hit their door against mine in parking lots..thats the only reason I am not putting my Fbody in the show...cosmetic reasons. If that car was in good shape, I'd have two entries.

Yeah, my paints alright ... it shines up real nice!!! I just have some rock chips in the hood, and ugly paint peel on that damn rubber AeroWing. Nothing noticable in the pics, but a real eye sore in person.

We'll see ..................

It was kinda like that last year....the police blocked 2 lanes of rt.1, and followed us to the show. This year, we hope to have more F-body's so we could repeat the entire caravan The more F-body's....4th gen, 3rd gen, 2nd gen, 1st gen, whatever, that go, would be awesome.

IROCZTWENTY...

...and for anyone else...here are a couple sites for more info on the show: http://www.twp.north-brunswick.nj.us/8thCarShow.pdf

Well, I have some good news, and I have some bad news....the bad news is that I might not be able to put the C5 in the show, b/c I am having some disputes with my insurance company(I have a good rep with them, its bs what is going on), and I might have to take the insurance off of it real soon and get a different insurer. The good news is that I am still going reguardless, and if i do go, ya'll will be able to see my Thirdgen. What sucks is that its not in the greatest condition. However, not to fret just yet(i know that sounded fruity), the likelyhood of putting my C5 in the show still seems like a high possibility. Its only a few short weeks away....sorry, I just needed to vent. Anyhowz, allz youz Joisey guyz and galz just come to the show/caravan!!! Ask friends who have F-body's, friends of thiers, etc.....spread the word.....lets have a huge turnout!!!!
