Help restoring/repairing an 89' IROC brake light decal

Hey y'all. I'm pretty new to the third-gen scene, and am currently working on restoring a 1989 IROC-Z. This IROC has a decal or vinyl over the center brake light, and I have had no luck finding solutions on how to repair this material.

Does anyone have any tips or techniques repairing or even replacing a decal like this?

Bet you could do a near perfect copy with a pencil, tracing paper, and a x-Acto knife.
Decal/Sign shop would be choice number 2. That is a cool touch addition to the third brake light I gotta say.

If it was me I'd make a stencil of the existing lettering, remove all of the sticker, paint prep the light, apply the stenciled lettering, and then either paint the lens or use VHT Night Shades to darken the lens.
