Luxe Auto Concepts Tail Light Tint

original light

after the vinyl tint was applied

for comparison vs whats on car now

daytime with just running lights on

night with just running lights on

night with brake lights on
I found this thru a friend who put it on his Charger. I was able to get a roll of the Universal kit and try it out on some new tail lights. I am sure allot of people dont like the risk of someone not seeing the tail lights but i am impressed with the amount of light that still gets thru. Let me know what you think

Re: Luxe Auto Concepts Tail Light Tint

It's different, shouldn't fade like paint, should apply darkness more evenly than paint (unless the carbon fiber pattern shows through but the pattern would be even/same), shouldn't lose gloss appearance like paint, appears to have a carbon fiber texture, but does make the tail light just slightly darker during the day as expected. Night seems like almost no difference. I'm guessing there are some dot or raised part number/letters on the amber section and if so, maybe next time consider removing those by wet-sanding those off to make it smooth. If you decide to use the product, then should consider making the black sections (that have the license plate bulbs) covered with it as well to make it all match.

Re: Luxe Auto Concepts Tail Light Tint

I actually went ahead and did both sides including the extra pieces. Yes i wish i would have sanded off the part numbers from the lens first but wasnt really sure i was going to leave them. I also bought another style I was going to try on the Bird but not as impressed with it so far. have not tried it actually on the car. Only other thing i was contemplating is some LED bulbs to bring the brightness back up during th day, although i personally dont think it darkened it much at all. This is my wife's curreent daily so i figured it couldn't hurt

This could really improve my delaminnating 92 T/A tails. do you have a link to where you got this? any special installation required? just a peel and stick type thing?

It is the same as installing vinyl wrap. heat gun helps but it isnt a must have to do

they have different patterns and darkness to fit your needs
