Peanut cam, needs some TLC and 67K miles. But it's yellow, my fine fellow. Bidding should go fast.

I'm realizing that. The prices, especially on Irocs are going through the roof . If I want a deal on a nice 90s era car its probably going to be a C4.

Re: Yellow 1987 IROC LB9 G92
Ive driven many including my uncles ZR1 and that thing is a beast. Id rather have a 5spd HO or LB9 honestly but the $ for a pristine third gen is going through the roof. I sure wouldn't pay 18.5 for a 200hp 5.0-auto car with 60k miles and cant understand why anyone else in their right mind would. If it were a 5spd H.O. or LB9 or a 350 car I could maybe see it. I do like the car I think it looks great but cant wrap my mind around it really selling over 10k much less 18.5..

In the mid 1980's I had several original 1969 Z/28's....bought them for under $1500.....look at those value's now !!
Pretty much every collectible muscle car goes up in value......its just a matter of how fast

When I do see decent prices its not close to me and I hate to drive across country to look at a car that was presented as something better than it was. Ray I should have bought your 82 T/A

Re: Yellow 1987 IROC LB9 G92
Early thirdgens are miles from the refinement of late thirdgens. It's a total package world of difference. I really don't see the appeal of most of them until about 1989. 89 was really the turning point where the thirdgen started to reach it's potential. V-belts, clutch fans, clunky wiper systems, junk gauges, crappy brake systems, carburetors, MAF sensors, cold start injectors, leaky valve covers and rear main seals, 9-bolts, rattly doors... I could go on, but you get the point.
My 87 packs a lot of the nostalgia of my first 83 Camaro, but it's a pain to work on, always needs something, and lacks the power and comfort of my 91s. Aside from the name down the side, 91-92 Z28s blow most Irocs out of the water. People pushing the Iroc bubble don't know any better.

It could look like a 10k mile car in person, which is great, but still 200 hp automatic..
Rare color and T-Tops is alll good.. I guess if you have money and this was the exact car you had 30 years ago you might say “what the hell” and pay the asking price..
I would say more like $12k-ish if it is mint..
Are the seats re-done or did they have dark piping? Unusual color for 87 deluxe interior.. Usually only see gray, black and red..
As far as C4s.. up here if you don’t spend at least $10k-12k they are junk.. $16-18k can get you a 1996 with the 330hp LT4.. ZR1s go from $25k-45k
I’m looking at a black 6-speed 1993 C-4 40th anniversary.. Thinking of throwing an offer.. 52k Miles..

Re: Yellow 1987 IROC LB9 G92
Wish I could have found a Yellow 85 Iroc before I bought my Sliver car. I agree that the early thirdgens were not as refined as the later cars. Although, while they did have their problems, they also had all the cool 80s options. Clocks, the LS interior, etc. I really dig the vibe.

I agree that the early ones do have more character with interiors, options and combos.

The early Z28s and Irocs just looked better IMO. Ive had both and the later ones had less problems and the Map TPI engines were far superior in my opinion, never did like that goofy wing though.

I agree.. We all know the prices on IROCs are going up, but 67k Miles is not “park it in a show room” Miles..
