Actually.......FireBirds supposedly handled a bit better in stock form from a IROC-Z. I like the formulas.......don't get me wrong....But there's just sumthing about an IROC-Z that turns me on!

I take it we're only talking about 3rd gens. Camaro here as well. The only TAs I would take over a Camaro are the 2nd and 4th Gens.

Camaro Baby!!! They look nicer IMHO... but I think if you lined up an IROC and a GTA I think the GTA would handle better, or maybe not...

1991tealRSt-topGuy, I don't get your point. When you compare camaro versus firebird, you don't compare a "bare bones" camaro to a GTA or vice versa. Sorry, that's just stupid (no offense!). 
Anyway, while the camaros are aggressive looking and really awesome cars. I'll have to vote firebird. I've just always liked their look better, especially the 91/92.

Really? Checked out the page... he's in the process... or atleast it's stated on there. How about TPI383, I remember reading he/she running high 9s.

He's had a 502 in the garage for years. He's got my old V6 tranny behind his 2.8 right now.

camaros are just hacked up firebirds, the taillights , the front end, the side sail panel and the ground FX are all chopped up looking where as the firebirds are nice and smooth. Also firebird have way nicer interiors and guages. I cant believe this is even an issue, why do u guys think firebirds are always worth more........the reason there are so many camaros is becouse its the number 1 teen car...........

This is unfair... I would take a TA over a Sport Coupe any day... but then again I'd take a Sport Coupe over a base Firebird.
As for TA Vs. IROC/Z-28... I think I'd take the TA... But I still think I'm a Camaro guy... IROC's look better in black than TA's... and thats all that matters.
Now if you could take a TA and put an IROC body on it... -that-'s what I'm talking about!

I voted Camaro, but thats cause I've wanted one since I can remember. Some Camaros look better than Firebirds, and some Firebirds look better than Camaros. I'd sure take a Trans Am over a Sport Coupe, or an IROC over an old Formula (the no ground effects kind, I don't know what year. I'm not up on my Firebirds yet). cg91ta, jobryan26, and FlyinLow89 all have sweet Firebirds. They look better than some Camaros. But then, I love IROCThe5.7L's and Ions91Z28's Camaros too, not to mention mine. So its a tough call.
And "BOSS" with the orange Camaro- looks nice, but I personally hate that chrome fender trim.

ok i dont care if ur compareing base firebird to base camaro, formula to Z28 or trans am to IROC the firebird is the better car, i hate camaro owners who seem to think they have the cats *** of f bodies, a camaro is just a poor mans firebird...........hell even the new firebirds are 4-7 grand more expensive than a camaro

Well if were talking fourth gens, ONEFINE8T9, then my vote goes to the Firebird. They are beautiful. The Camaros are more plain looking now. But third gens, I like the Camaro over most birds. A friend of mine has an 89 Formula, red. It looks exactly like yours. And I don't like it. No ground effects, its just to... boring looking. I don't think I know of a bird with no ground effects that I like. Some Camaros actually look alright without them. The cats *** of f-bodies? I'd sure take my car over yours any day. But thats my opinion. I'd also take 86FyrBrds car over mine anyday.
