April 2015 COTM **Nomination Thread**
PLEASE READ THE RULE LIST. THE LIST STARTED SMALL BUT PEOPLE ALWAYS SEEM TO WANT TO PUSH THE ENVELOPE. IF ITS ON THE LIST, ITS BECAUSE PEOPLE HAVE TRIED IT. REMEMBER, WE MUST PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF THE CONTEST SO THAT THE MOST DESERVING MEMBER WINS.
This thread is a Nomination Thread to nominate cars that will compete for this month's Car of the Month honor. The 10 (or less) most popularly nominated cars will be compiled into a *Voting Thread* in a couple of weeks. If you do not nominate a member's car for COTM, you can still second or third (fourth, fifth, so on) someone else's nomination. cars must have at least a second nomination in order to make the Voting Thread.
Do not nominate your own car. Your car must be nominated by another TGO Member.
Do not ask your wife, husband, friends, extended family, etc. to register as TGO Members for the purpose of nominating your car. If you are nominated, do not ask people to register as TGO Members for the purpose of voting for your car.
If you are nominated, you CAN vote for your own car.
Do not nominate more than one car.
Do not use multiple member accounts to nominate your own car, nominate multiple cars, vote for your own car, or vote multiple times.
This is not a picture thread. Post only ONE good photo of the car you wish to nominate. Do not use photo-edited pictures.
You must post a picture with your nomination.
Correctly identify the user name of the member who you nominate.
Correctly identify the year and model/trim of the car you nominate.
Do not nominate cars that are not in a high quality, finished state.
And if you are nominated, please DO go out and take an abundance of good quality photos of your ride (multiple angles, interior, engine) and make them publicly accessible (for example via a photo album in your public profile or some sort of hyperlink to your photo album.)
When threads are started on other websites, advising members there to come vote in COTM, it is usually not good for the integrity of the program because it invariably becomes more about voting for a particular Member/car (like a political campaign).
*****This Month's Criteria*****
OPEN SEASON: Any stock or modified, high quality, finished Camaro or Firebird.

Re: April 2015 COTM **Nomination Thread**
Thanks for all the nominations! It is really a fantastic car.
I would like to bow out of this one due to the fact I just purchased the car and had it only a week. I have not even driven it yet!!! My plan is to go through it and replace a lot of the 30 year old items such as complete brake package, tires, and engine belts and hoses.
Once I have it to my standard, and actually get some road time put on it and get pictures, we can give it a shot for COTM in the future!
Again, I am very humbled to be nominated, just not right now. I hope everyone understands.
Thanks
Bob

Thanks PurelyPMD....I guess nobody read post 16. I just don't think I should be in the running with a car I just bought a week ago and not drove yet.

Re: April 2015 COTM **Nomination Thread**
There are so many nice cars on this board of all types. the problem i keep running into is that so few people actually take the time to post good pics of their cars. i see a nice looking pic, so i go to that Member's public profile - 99% of the time, no photo albums - so i go to their stats and search all threads started by that member - 80% of the time, no build thread w/ useable pics. i know posting pics isn't everybody's thang, but it would certainly make COTM easier.

I was guilty of this too. I had pics of my car in a thread I started but guess I didn't pay much attention to adding a album. Still can't get pics in my garage for some reason. They need to up the size of pics you can load in your garage.

Good deal Bob. That's a really nice car and lots of people on here like it including myself. Most people on here would be elated to be considered among these cars every month and its usually always a hard choice to pick just one.

Bob your car is really really sweet. I'll vote for it after you drive it and tell us about it. But for now the 89 350 is the one I will third.
