Prefered Camaro Tail-lights?
I'm having a debate with my wife and just want to see everyone's opinions.
I got a NICE set of old "2-bar" style tail-lights from Pick-a-part over the weekend to replace my ok grid style tails. My wife thinks I'm crazy to replace the grids...
What style does everyone else prefer - "2-Bar" or "Grid"
Pics in case you don't know WTF I'm talking about...

You just KNOW she's gonna win this regardless of what the debate is over cuz she's a woman and the Boss.
I personally like the grid style. And I own Pontiac's!

I generally like the 2-bar style, however there have been a few variations through the years.
The grids also look great if they're redone with a flat black in-between.

Grid lights look better stock, 2 bar looks better tinted.

Re: Prefered Camaro Tail-lights?
I like the grid style, but think they look weird on the early Z28s. It was a big internal debate with the tails on my 83. For a few weeks, I had one of each in the car, trying to decide. Ended up going stock 2 bar.

Re: Prefered Camaro Tail-lights?
My son changed his two bars for grids. Don't have to worry on the Firebird

On a sports coupe or berlinetta 2 bar is the way to go. For a gfx car grids look better IMO

Re: Prefered Camaro Tail-lights?
I think that each light looks best on it's correct model year car. I wouldn't dream of putting grids on my 83, wouldn't look right. But if I had a newer thirdgen that came with the grids then I wouldn't put the 2-bars on it.

Re: Prefered Camaro Tail-lights?
If I bought a thirdgen Camaro, I would lean towards the 2 bar and mod them like Camaroguy18. Black out the amber section. Probably could mod the grid style also though. If you don't like the blackout paint making the turn signals too dark then could rewire the outer red to function as turn signal and brake light somehow.

Re: Prefered Camaro Tail-lights?
I'll be honest, the poll is going the direction I expected. However, I'm set in my ways and my wife is just going to have to deal. I'm putting on the 2-bar however, I am going to either red out or black out (like Firebat suggested) the turn signal part. And in the long run I'm going to mod them with LEDs. I like the 2-bar style better.
