I'm giving some serious thought to checking this event out next year. It's not too far from home, looks like a lot of fun from the last couple of years of reports, and next year is the 50th anniv. of the Firebird.
Nice cars! Got a few pictures of them myself! Congrats on the trophies.
Thanks Kymmee. We need to follow through with some discussion about creating dash plaques with 3rd Gen usernames, so we know who everyone is. It would be nice to put faces with the people we talk to on here.

Dynodave43, There is nothing quite like spending a weekend with 400 car owners that are just as passionate about your car as you are. Bring your car no matter what shape it is in. The more cars in the show the better!

Fully agree. I think anyone who has a 'bird they love or just likes these cars, should try and attend this show. No matter what shape or look of your car, all 'birds are respected here. All great people and great cars to admire. Truly is a great time!!
I've been a devoted "Car Guy" since 1963 and have 25+ years of experience and training in the Automobile business.
IMO, cars should USUALLY be displayed w/ the hoods and deck lids, closed. It totally obscures the visual effect of the car, when there open.
I agree but it is a cultural thing. I have seen many cars that I wish their hoods were closed. if I had a perfectly detailed under hood and lost to someone who had their hood closed but looked just as nice on the outside would I be upset? heck yeah I would.
There was a marching band at the show and swap in St Peter, MN today. Found a pair of Buick Grand National Lear Siegler buckets. Need full resto as GN seats or as Camaro Camaro Camaro conversions, but the adjustment mechanisms and frames are fully functional. Also found a rough Z28 console to practice cutting a console clock hole.
I really need to get those Summer National stickers off the windshield. Looks tacky. White letter tires need to go, too.
Found this red 1987 with a very well done 403 and this 1982 with a real nice 350 at the local meet today. The 1987 made my jaw drop it was so nice, I had to wait around until he finally came back to his car. This sounded AWSOME with a 3.00" into a MAGNAFLOW dual exhaust, not loud at all but a super deep rumble.
