ever think of white? personally I never see clean white irocs. but I saw one tonight, and lets just say, my girlfriend thought I needed new underwear by my positive (o-r-g-a-s-m-i-c) reaction to it. WoW! seriously, everyone one this board think about when the last time was that you saw a really reall really good white iroc, I bet it's been a while. the best striping would be silver/red decals.

Okay, my new pics are up. They're all in my webshots album here:
http://community.webshots.com/user/metallicamarors
I don't know if its just my computer, but they look blurry on there and when I click view actual size, they look HORRIBLE. Anyone else have that problem? If so, why and what can I do? The pics are very clear on my hard drive.

88irocz28, Wow you said exactly what I did to my car.
As for my vote, goes to black as well. They look very sharp. However, I do like the Grand Sport vette blue as well as the 92 Quasar blue. Black isn't as hard as I thought. Just gotta wash alot. I drive mine daily, and it has no car cover or garage. Welcomed to view pics in the sig, I'll have more pics before long. Swirl marks are the biggest problem.

I say go for the twister idea, but if not that, I'm always in love with black or silver... it gives it that mean look to put any mustang shaking in its poorly made frame..

WT..Where are all the people with red cars, I thought there would be lots of them in here?? This is the color. Its on almost every IROC-Z ad and brochure from 85-90 and sold the most of any color. Nice too.
Not only are red cars more attention getting, they are faster too LOL!!

I think if I had the money and had a bad *** IROC( take for instance IROCthe5.7L and Metalli) I would get it Rallye Green. Rallye Green was a paint option on 69 Camaros, and it looks like "money green". I love black, but I like the idea of old colors. I love the guys car who painted it Hugger Orange. *** I love old Camaros and their colors LOL. Pick up something original that not everybody has.
I also love Magenta, Slate(its one shade lighter than pitch black), and the Code 23 IROC blue.

Well, I have to say Black is the BEST -- IMO, but since my 82 Z28 is black, and I am going to put an '88 IROC nose, Ground FX, and rear bumper on it before I paint it again, I will more or less already have a black IROC, or at least it will appear to be one. Now since I don't want to have two cars the same color, and I don't like the factory Maroon on my 89 RS, I am going to clone it to a 91-92 Z28 (I already have the the GFX and the wing) I just bought a ASCD SS hood (I will have pics soon) for my car and I am thinking of going with Sebring Silver off 4th Gen F bodys. I plan to remove all the emblems, the side marker lamps, and I may add some subtle SS emblems either on the rockers or up on the fenders where the the 4th Gen SS's emblems are. I'm thinking of building my own version of a 3rd Gen SS. I photoshopped my wheels on somebody else's silver 91 Z28 (I hope they don't mind!!) and removed all the emblems and side markers. What do you guys think??

They are SEC Racing Wheels. The front are 17 X 9.5 w/ 275/40/ZR17 Michelin Pilots and the rears are 17 X 12 w/ 335/35/ZR17 Pilots. You can see more pics on my site below. They are a 2 peice wheel, and are bolted together with ARP stainless steel 12 point bolts.

Re: Best colour for an IROC
Black is great and all for mirror shine and one of my favorites on these cars…
But metallic paint and a nice clear coat gives you paint that looks deep, super wet, and the metallic picks up the lines of the car very nicely.
The 1988 Orange Metallic was a very rare color and people love it.
I bet a 4th Trans Am color like Gen Sunset Orange Metallic would look amazing. Would probably work with Gold, Silver or Red stripes.
I also like 1995-1996 Corvette Admiral Blue…
it’s a vintage car so I’d stay away from monochrome colors like everything else on the road.

Re: Best colour for an IROC
I think OP's black Camaro (he probably was persuaded to pick black by all the responses) has now a faded clear coat with tons of scratches after the 20+ years. :-)
