17 Year old Camaro Owner needs help!
Hey thirdgen lovers, I'm Jake, I have a 1992 Camaro RS, and by god do I love it. BUT, heres the thing, I have tried from waxing and polishing my car, to scratch remover, but i cannot seem to get these NASTY scratches and marks off my front bumper. Does anyone know how I can remove them without getting a whole new paint job?

They are fine stone chips-you cannot rub or buff them out. My TA has a ton of them and they showed up worse after I waxed it. You could try the Dr Color chip kit, but it's not cheap for touch up paint, but I have head good things about it. Nothing will make it look like new besides a repaint.

If all of that is "fine stone chips" just exactly what were they using the car for ? Chasing gravel trucks at the quarry ?

If the car has been driven on gravel roads, over time small stone chips could end up causing that type of damage. I have seen Florida cars end up looking like that due to the Love Bugs that arrive every spring and fall. They are called Love Bugs because they hatch, mate, and fly around stuck together for a couple of weeks, then lay their eggs, and die. The bugs are so thick that they splatter all over the front of a vehicle, and if one does not clean them off daily, the bug's guts will desolve the paint. Maybe NE has some sort of critter that causes the same type of damage? Either way, it looks like Jake has a great first car!
