I kind of took it that way too Nufnuff.... Even though I think some of the lower result cars seem a bit backwards in voting for me.. Still lots of voting time left though... Some day I might get mine voted for haha!!

NufNuff, your car is incredibly deserving of COTM, as all the cars nominated. I think people voting on your car, have had the ability to see your car through your consistent presence here on the boards, and willingness to add pics here to sell the vote! Good luck man, you have a great lead on this one

I'm surprised that no other member nominated into voting has posted additional pics or info about their cars, to help potentially sway votes. All members were PMed about the thread.

Re: July COTM **VOTING**
I go more for the looks than the performance at this point, mine's just a clean stocker wearing 20 year old paint (hailed on and repainted in '92). Only real mod is that it's been lowered on Eibach Sportlines and has an open element air cleaner, if you want to call that a mod. I'm the second owner and have owned it since 1999. Currently has 152k miles. I tend to spend my time detailing it a lot, as that's kind of the area that I'm good at.

Whoa, don't get all self conscious on me there. I didn't mean that you didn't deserve it at all. I just meant last month was a nail bitingly close race and BIG MODs was a prime contender while this month he's down (at the moment) in a three way tie. Your car is awesome by the way. Do you race it? Honestly it strikes me more as a show-y car than a racecar. Hope that doesn't offend you.

152,000 miles on that interior is amazing. Takes a lot of work to keep a car in that condition for that long.

Right now its more of a cruiser/weekend toy because of the t5 more-so than a showcar. I just love to keep my cars VERY clean. Check my wife's 99 SS with a 408, t56, and 12 bolt out for another example(10 second car). I have been busy with a newborn and such to put in the t56 and the Maxton mile(which is the reason the car was originally done this way closed down last year right after we finished the car), so the "race" part of it hasn't come into play yet.
Drag racing is always an option and I'd love to at least see what it can do. I'd like 10's on the 19's that are on it now....

Nuff, are those the VY or VYC rims? Every time I see your car, I drool a bit! It helps that I love the blue, but the blue with those rims is just gorgeous.

Tough month to choose once again, since two of my favorite car are nominated, NuffNuff and Big_Mod, but I went with Big_Mod this month. Good luck to all candidates.

Re: July COTM **VOTING**
It is a bit of work to keep a car nice, but really you just gotta spend a little bit of time here and there. Luckily weighing in at 135 lbs myself and my wife at 100 lbs, my seats have had a pretty easy life and have yet to tear.
The most important thing though is to not cut anything up and not neglect it until it's too far gone. I can't tell you how bad the interiors in some coworkers cars look, and these are cars that aren't even 5 years old and half of the interior is shot.

Re: July COTM **VOTING**
Thanks, it does and it doesn't; you really just have to keep the trash out, keep it vacuumed and hit the plastics with some protectant here and there. I do the Camaro pretty much every time I take it out, but even my daily looks equally good most of the time and that car sits outside year round and is driven year round. In that car I use three floormats on each side in the front for complete carpet protection in the wintertime.

It's funny how stressed I get about voting on these cars. Nuff got my vote, but it was close with Puma. That car looks like it just rolled out of the factory. Grats to you all for your rides.
