Wow yeah if the miles are that low just keep it clean and when you have money or stuff starts going wrong then start messing with performance take advantage of the life its got left for now just work on the looks hood, wing, suspension, grill, etc

Yeah its really hard to decide on parts but I think I'm going with the subframe connectors, cut-out, maybe a shift kit and aftermarket ignition coil. The rest is probably going to aesthetics but well see I might change my mind again.

Yes, waste of money, maybe, and big waste of money.

You should get things your car NEEDS or gains large benefits from with the least amount of work. Some options I'd look into:

- MSN 8.5mm wires (this will help your ignition; OEM ignition is just fine as it is... don't mess with it)
- replacement springs (look at rates and such for what you want) with GOOD struts
- J&M or Founders Caster/Camber plates assuming you do the above ^
- 373 or 410 gears and a TA differential cover
- TopDownSolutions wonderbar

Well I'm definitely going with the wonderbar, good suggestion but would I be better off with the MSN 8.5mm wires or like an msd ignition coil and bumping the timing 4*?

I would focus on performance mods, like SFCs.

Yeah I like how it looks I just want to do a few small things maybe tints and a dash pad. I m leaning toward sfc's, the tds wonderbar, k&n filters and like ignition or wires. I should have some money after that and I'm about to make 500 so now I have to figure out what else I want.

Kinda what i did. Your car looks just like mine when i got it. although mine had 65,000 and is not a b4c I did buy it from a local police officer.
I guess it could be a b4c i should look lol. But really keep it clean white demands it goodluck

I wouldnt touch the suspension- ive done it I dont think its worth it. I would NOT change the shifter either. Most of those shifters are made for 500 other cars and dont fit the camaro at all. i think those aftermarkets shifters are worse than the stock.

After installing an b+m i thought the stock one was better.

IF you lower it or change springs- it rides so damn hard; the car will slam on every bump. If you lower it it changes the camber/caster then your tires wear weird. Its such a hassle.

On top of that the perfomance gain is so small

Subframe connecters would be great. Stereo or catback system maybe. Roller rockers are also decently cheap in that it doesnt change the profile of the motor. You could do alum. heads or roller lifters. I wouldnt change the cam- that will change the profile of the motor.

After ripping my camaro apart and putting all kinds of crazy racing parts on it, I found myself putting it back to stock because it drove so much better on the street that way.

Save your money: When I was young I blew so much money on high performance stuff that did not much more than the stock stuff did. Live and learn.

Yeah the white looks good but its a lot of work.Right now its in for the winter and I keep adding coats of wax when I have the spare time. I thought about removing the strips but Im not sure if the paint will match underneath that part of the car has like never been exposed to the elements. and I have hooker headers and a hooker catback already, its getting a 350 one day I just hate to swap out such a low mileage engine

Yeah I realized its low enough as it is Ive scraped the the bottom before and I did not enjoy that at all. I eliminated the shifter also because there's better things to spend money on and Ive heard bad reviews. Subframe connectors and a wonderbar are for sure though

Granted its in pieces right now. I must have missed that you had the exhaust already. What else do you have? Its so weird looking at your car. SO much like
mine looked when i bought it. I agree with the lowering thing. I cut my springs and now it rides like ***, might have something to do with runflats and improper
shock valving. But it looks good. I think i was happiest with my car when it was bone stock with a 350 and 3:73 rear gears it was my dream now its turning slowly
into a monster. my paint matched underneath as long as your paint isn't yellowing it will match. And it looks to be a quality show of arctic white to me. its just one of
those things that bothers me its like fugly panties on an attractive woman. lol

Also i noticed with the wonderbar i got no more metal popping noise going over the curb in the driveway well worth the 100 bucks

I bought an air cleaner and cut out the snorkel, sandblasted it then cut out the hole and welded it on. I'm having it e-coated right now so the gray part that got sandblasted matches the rest of the air cleaner. The new arm will connect to the air cleaner from a tpi. I will post pictures of it when I get it back.

You can get ls1 brakes with the stock rims I'm fairly sure, but if you want a set of Bear claws or something you're going to need at least 17's


If it runs, blow the motor then part it out or lsx swap. If it doesn't run, part it out. Best way to get rid of the 200k artificial reef is find a nice empty parking lot, turn the wheel all the way left or right, and stomp the gas until the car shuts off.

I would probably go with the new ones rather than the junkyard ones but they are a little more expensive than I expected I think thats an upgrade for another time maybe

The "LS1" brakes were on any 98-02 Camaro/Firebird, it did not matter if it was a V6 or V8. I was able to get everything done and in my car for right around $400, that was modified/powder coated spindles from a friend, another friend modifying the hub, all brake parts from an '99 Camaro, bolts, brackets, fluid, and Wilwood proportioning valve.

Junkyard brakes can be just fine. Take your time, clean them up, and paint them and you will not be able to tell they are used. Saves a ton of money for other mods you want to do.

It really does look like it needs nothing!! But if you HAVE to spend a $1000, I would do it in all of the stuff that may have dry-rotted over the years like a new bushing kit on the chassis or weather stripping. If the tires are as old as the car, I would replace them. But I definately would not start putting hot-rod stuff on a beautiful stock car like that!!!

Yeah I would do that if anything needed to be replaced but its all good and the previous owner put brand new tires on it right before I bought it. I know its beautiful stock but it will still be beautiful with a couple of additions
