Pin or Bolt On?!?!

I was plannin on gettin rid of my old 85Z28 hood and gettin a fiberglass cowl hood... ok well first of all i was plannin on gettin a 3" or 4" cowl but which looks better?? a pin on hood or a bolt on hood?? the pin ons are relatively cheaper but i dunno which is better?? or if not a cowl hood then which other should i get?? and can any post some pics so i can decide??

Pin on hoods are a pain in the a$$ to take on and off.. mine is extremely light (14lbs) and not HARD to take off.. i can take it off by myself easily... but it's just not as easy as popping the latch and swinging the hood up to check something...and if you dont get the locking hood pins, someone can steal it.

i agree the pin on would problly get old quick,I would say spend the extra $ and get a bolt on.

i got a 43/4 inch cowl/ bolt on and bought hood pins, i love the way they look, but i dont want people to be able to open the hood whenever they was, so i think its the best of both worlds, im thinking about cutting a hole in my old hood, and pinning that on, when i want to look real intimidating, sepecially if the filter rises 4 inches above the old hood

I hate pins. I'm a fan of the sleek look I guess. Sort of like the C5 vette, everything flows perfect. If I was making a drag car, then maybe hood pins. To me that's the only place they should be at.
