CAR OF THE MONTH - FEB Nominations
*Please read before posting*
*****February Nominations*****
This thread is designed as a nomination board to narrow down to the top ten thirdgens found on this board. This is not a picture thread to post pictures of your own vehicle, and you cannot nominate your own vehicle. To nominate a member you must provide a user name and post a photo of the vehicle (for others to possibly 2nd, 3rd, 4th the nomination).
Once a vehicle has been nominated, there is no need to post additional pics, but please post with members screen name as a vote for the car or the month.
One nomination per member. So please do not list of your top 20 favorite cars... think about this, it will be an honor, pick one. If multiple nominations are made by a single member, I will only count the first posted member when creating a tally.
*** The 10 or less cars with the most votes will be complied into a new thread the morning of Jan 15th, at which time poll format will be used to nominate the February car of the month ***
Please see last months nomination thread for ideas....
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/auto...minations.html
Spike-Z is the only member that cannot win again untill next year... so post up your FAVORITE Car!
Lets see some of those amazing birds also... I know that they are out there!

This time around....I nominate: "IROCBIRDBUILDER"
Not sure if it matters...but I think he might have sold it? Haven't talked to him in awhile....
This member gave me lots and lots of info for my air ride setup as well (we are both running similar systems), he was very helpful! Beautiful thirdgen. Still has that factory look....but with some subtle modifications

Re: CAR OF THE MONTH - FEB Nominations
you know other board do not let the last nominations be calculated. it is strictly a car of the month not the top ten. that way a lot more cars have a chance.

Re: CAR OF THE MONTH - FEB Nominations
well again. it does not take ten cars out of the running. the top 12 cars on the site will win every year. nobody below will ever have a chance. so car of the month will be the most money spent time after time. but hey it is your deal.

haha i vote for stage 20....again. Sexy combination of 3rd gen and 4th gen.
Also to the guy above, obviously people who sink tons of money into their car and/or tons of time into them will win. This isn't a competition for a $500 primered beater.

Re: CAR OF THE MONTH - FEB Nominations
The quality of cars and who actually wins is all dependant of site participation... I can't, nor can any other single person decide the winner here. The cars with lots of money spent on them are usually the "dream" cars for many others "building" their cars up... So they become favorite and get nominations. I see that you edited out your vote for Neil, one of the most elaborate, exspensive builds on TGO... Glad you edited out your contradiction. You are now free to vote in the dude that did the $50 roller paint job, but he probably won't win... people as a whole want to see the best of the best here.

Re: CAR OF THE MONTH - FEB Nominations
As pretty as that car was, Neil's blue '87 Ls-X Iroc is cut up into many peices and is currently in a scrap yard waiting to be melted into Dr. Pepper cans... He's starting over with a newer shell from a '91 Camaro. It will be way nicer when he's done, but that car in the pic doesn't exist anymore.
I'll vote for TylerM (Prowler orange Twin Turbo LS-X) this month.

Re: CAR OF THE MONTH - FEB Nominations
Neil had the shell cut into pieces due to previously undiscovered rust and frame rails flexing upon steering. Which, I find odd because the last time I drove the car it felt fine... He will be transferring the doors, rockers, lights, and all custom fabbed pieces, interior etc... into the new shell along with C6 suspension (I think was the last thing he told me). The new one will be even more killer! But, expect it to take FOREVER to get finished! Ha!
Neil if you read this, I'll call ya later.. I may take mine to Good Guys this March up by you and you can ride in mine.
Last pics of his car:

Re: CAR OF THE MONTH - FEB Nominations
I have to second this top vote for Neil. There are a lot of nasty cars around here but the subtle custom touches on neils, like the vette style door handles combined with a gorgeous all motor monster 454 LSX take the cake for me. Whether it still exists or not, it was built, and was built right!
TylerM has a great car as well (and color ), but I bought his old turbo from him and it turned out to be blown, so that would keep me from voting on it.
EDIT: My appologies to TylerM, since I just found out he is actually the new owner of that car....it was the previous owner who sold me the bad turbo.

Re: CAR OF THE MONTH - FEB Nominations
tottally agree with you...that was one of the best third gens ever made and definately pushed the bar high for a custom third gen camaro. when i first saw it on youtube i couldn't believe all the custom touchs only guys like us would truely notice....but being how nice the car was ....he cut it up for a reason and it must have been so bad that it couldn't be fixed without a donor car...and he didn't want to do that.....i def give him credit for cutting it up...took some strength...i don't know if i could have done it...i would have just tried to fix it. i saw the pictures of it cut up...crazy..
also evilemokid94 thanks for the vote for me...i started the project when my daughter was 1 shes 9 now...little by little everyyear...its getting there, so thanks

guys who are re-nominating ramair21 - realize this is not the vote for COTM but simply a nomination thread. If you all are just reinforcing his nomination thats great! I just want to make sure you realize the actual vote/poll is not up yet, make sure you vote in the poll when it's up!
