Re: Fall 2011 picture thread
The car is a rebuild salvage. It has a 383 stroker, TREMEC TKO600 trans, 6pt roll bar, Kirkey road race seat, 6pt harness, no cruise, no radio, no ac, and I cut the back of the car to pieces swapping an independent rear suspension from a 96 Corvette. Originality is the LEAST of my concerns, I put the decals where I liked them best.

Nice shots Sean. I really like the one with the road trailing off in the background. The photos bleach your wheels out more than I thought they would, my pix did it too. They are a dead match for the silver on your belt stripe, I would not have expected them to do that. We need some pix of that thing at Gingerman!

That's kinda the point. I like that it seems like it's just a stocker with wheels. My favorite hobby is thumping on unsuspecting 5th gen owners with more dollars than sense.....

Im asking the same question as above, i love how the tips have that kink in them to keep them hidden and the size is perfect. 2.5s?

Re: Fall 2011 picture thread
Hey all, first time on here. Just bought this bird last Fri from CA and drove home to Utah. I had been looking for a third gen Camaro or GTA Trans-Am until i came across this Firebird on eBay and had to have it. Every time i drive this car i'm amazed at how well its been taken care of. It has WS6 and W66 options too. 305 is gone though. Replaced with a 350 w/TBI which is nice. EVERYTHING works (minus third brake light. Its in a box. Wrap-around wing was taken off b/c it was in bad shape). Work done by 2nd owner:
Mods:
-High performance Throttle Body
-Full length Heddman headers
-MSD Coil
-Summit ignition wires
-K&N Air Filter
-Crane cam and lifters kit installed about 5k miles ago.
-Shift kit (shifts firm)
-Fuel pressure regulator and gauge
-Custom Chip to complement mods.
-IROC Z posi differential WITH rear wheel brakes 3.23 gears and correct proportioning valve for 4 wheel disc brakes!!!
-Lowered 1" with aftermarket springs-done the right way.
-B&M Shifter
I also got some really nice Pirellis for the rear, and a louder Flowmaster RPM series muffler with nice rectangular tips with the sale (ill prob sell the Flowmasters. I dont think i need it. car sounds nice right now, but i dont know how the Flowmasters sound...).

Re: Fall 2011 picture thread
...Im thinking of maybe selling the wheels too, and going with the stock Formula wheels that are supposed to be on there.
PE0 - WHEEL, 16 X 8, ALUMINUM, LIGHT WEIGHT, STYLED
QDZ - TIRE ALL, P245/50VR16/N BL R/PE ST TL HW4
12P - WHEEL COLOR PLATINUM
Those are the option codes for the wheels it came with from factory according to the option codes sticker.
I do have a concern though. I was reading some thread on here the other day, and someone found out they're formula was actually a base Firebird with a "sticker kit". Well, my vin is 1g2fs21e..., so it is a Firebird with the 305 v8 TBI, but one of the options listed on the sticker is K34 - CRUISE CONTROL, AUT0MATIC, ELECTRONIC , which is nowhere to be found on the car. So im wondering if this is a "sticker kit". Either way, its still a beautifull car in excellent condition. Hopefully there are other Utah people on here bc i would love to go to third gen gatherings and such.

Re: Fall 2011 picture thread
Thanks so much Ben Jammin!! I have been wondering what a center style exhaust with dual round tips would look on one of these cars for a while now and pondering the idea in my head if I was going to do it or not. You just helped me decide on a YES, lol. And no rush, but I'd love to see how it is run underneath as well, in the rear area and just over the gas tank.

I think your car looks great, it has that pro touring look to it! I wonder how square exhaust tips would look though?

They are Corvette wheels. 17 x 9.5 front and 18 x 9.5 rear. From a C4 I think.

Re: Fall 2011 picture thread
bbgun11, very nice RS!! Have you considered doing the headlight buckets black?? or do you like it all red? I know when I got my car back from paint the paint guys had forgotten to pain the buckets, and it just looked unfinished . So I got a can of gm trim black and a light abrasive pad.,taped it off and bam I had buckets and it made a huge difference. Seemed to add contrast and a little depth to the front end. Either way, beautiful car man (:

Thanks! I've never even thought about blacking them out but I like the idea! I think it would look pretty good! After I put some heritage stripes on I'll think about doing the buckets.

Re: Fall 2011 picture thread
Thanks, i appreciate it. I was thinking the same thing about the drop. It's been lowered 1 inch, but i do think another wouldn't hurt. Around my area in Utah roads aren't too bad. I was looking at the car, and i think b/c of the big wheels, its hard to see the drop.
