Sinister Z has a thread about his spaghetti led's. They work great. Worth the $$ IMO.

Re: Klearz Lenses and Spaghetti Engineering??

So shot shaghetti a email now my other question is klearz worth it? I mean for a full assembled set I think it's priced a little high and a lot of ppl argue about the DIY style. I'm thinking a stock set with the red mod and buffed, polished would probably look just as good anyone agree with ?

Re: Klearz Lenses and Spaghetti Engineering??

I like my Klearz a lot, but I dont know that i like them $200 more than I like the home DIY tint jobs.

1. The lenses warp
2. the stock lenses arent perfectly straight, they actually are a little twisted and warped looking too. Go look at them closely and you'll see.

You can fix the warped lenses easily wiith some patience and a blow dryer. Not bad, really, and they stay fixed after installation.

But our tails are just a hard pain in the *** job for custom lenses. They're just HUGE and the cost of getting huge already made single-piece lenses installed in tail light housings would be astronomical. The way tehy have it set up is the only cost effective way to do it, and it's kind of tedious work.

But you notice things like the middle lens on the driver's side... it's a little bowed because I didnt get it straight enough, and I had a hard time getting it riveted in place properly. Most dont notice it, but if you mess one up a little it's hard to undo, and you always notice it.

The silicone sealant in between lenses doesnt lend itself for paint application either. I had to use 1/4 inch pin stripe, and it's not really the best solution, but it looks fine. But for a show car I dont think it would fly. The rivets in the top and bottom of the housings wouldn't work for a showcar either. You'd have to come up with some way to make it look more factory/oem. My car isnt a show car so I couldnt care less, and there's probably a solution or two out there, but it's just not the most fun mod in the world, but I do like the look a lot.

Maybe some of the other guys who did the klearz thing did a better job than I did though.

I will also suggest you not use your factory tail lights. Use some junkyard broken ones. I used some faded awful looking ones from an 84 sport coupe in a junkyard. All you need is the plastic housing. I had to slightly mod my center pieces that hold the tag lights to fit in the old housing, but it's not anything visible on the outside of the car.

I bought the Klearz, looked them over for a few minutes, actually broke the corner off one of the lenses when I dropped it from my hand to the counter top. If the guy didn't live in Canada I'd pay him a visit. Seriously awful **** he sold me.

Not only that but I wish they would add an LED board for the corners. If someone can do it to their DIY LED tail lights, then they most certainly should be capable.
