Yea I will keep these for sure , I got lucky and got them thru a trade deal for some arc 8 wheels I used to have so I couldn't resist lol
All the wheels I've gotten since the chrome budnik have been gotten thru trades and or selling wheels to get the set I want I've luck out and thru the whole process I haven't spent much prob couple 100 bucks here and there and gas money that's about it out of pocket cost was not a factor cause there wasn't any it was a long process but worth it
Barter trade and sell lol
Stupid light 19lb 18x10 all around
Looking for a 18x10 track setup tho !!!
Good. These are my favorite out of all the wheels you have had. Looks awesome.
HRE???? Dam those are serious "HIGH DOLLAR WHEELS" Touche to you brother, What is the offset front and rear? Size of the wheel and tire combo does not mean much when you do not know the back spacing/offset of the wheels...Thanks,....F****** nice ROC!!!
Yup, I really want to know the offset as well. I've got the same width wheel and was planning on using the same size tire, and now they I see it I know it'll be the perfect amount of stretch and the fitment is exactly how I want mine to end up.
If your wheel are in 25 offset range using a inch rear spacer will get the look you want I'll say a .75" spacer would be perfect 1" is really pushing it
You will need to roll rear fender really good
For front I can go flusher like I said before but plastic fender well would need to be removed and fender rolled also but dirty gets slung everywhere especially in the door hinge area and didn't really like that
I really want to pull of a fender flare idea I have front rear and get more race inspired more aggressive
For got to mention rear tire size is 275 and front 255
For 10.5 usally a 275 will get the stretch you want with a 10" it depends on tire but 275-265 depending on tire
On 9.5 a 265 and or 255 will do.
But I have 275 and 255/35 yes it's taller tire but it fills the wheel well so much better
Pretty good actually. I don't race or auto-x my car (did it more for looks) but compared to what it was it seems a bit more planted than with the factory springs.
Not yet, it's close though. In order for me to bring the rear down to match the front I need to c-notch the rear inner gender where the numb stop mount is to allow for axle tube clearance, then I need to either have the shocks shortened or relocate the lower shock mount a couple inches lower for acceptable travel. After that I need to measure the clearance to the gas tank.
It looks like ****. Lol. However they were on my GTI, so they have 205/40/16 tire on them.
A 3rd gen just doesn't look good with anything less than a 25" tire
hey man, I just got a 89 rs vert and I saw a set of vette wheels with some nice tires maybe in the 25" range... the tire shop that selling the set say they wont fit a 89...mines not even lowered yet. did you have spacers on in this pic? or are they direct bolt on? thanks

C4 and newer vette wheels and 4thgen F-body wheels take 2" bolt on spacers. Sometimes there are variables but most use 2" bolt on spacers.
What specs are you running for your wheels? 20's? I've been wanting to run 18x10.5 all the way around, just not sure of fitment due to the front hub snout.
That is the only issue regarding the fronts. I'm running 18x9 with a 1.25" spacer to fit my XXR 526s.

Thanks. Miss driving the 126. It needs a ton of work to be road worthy again.
I wish I could contribute to this thread but I live in MA and the roads here suck so Im stuck with the Pro Kit. Id love to do Air Ride but I just dont want a big air tank in the back taking up space. Besides. Not too sure how it would even ride and handle on these roads.

you dont have to have a big air tank, and air-ride shouldnt affect ride or handling, depdning on how you set it up. --plenty of videos and information on youtube and airridetechs website.
Grifter757, that's a nice ride. We definitely need to see more pics from more angles. Outside for sure. I like the front bumper mod too! All that air going to the intercooler. Sweet.
Since DBLTKE hasn't been on the site since last September and probably won't see your question in this revived thread, they look like XXR wheels, style 526, in their Chromium Black finish.
