Another 4th gen washer/coolant bottle swap
well i figured i would give this a go if it will clear my intercooler to clean up the engine bay a bit
also on a side note a reason why my fiberglass hood wont fit is becuase it hits the washer bottle so hopefully ill fix that problem as well
got these from the junkyard tonight for $8.00
included picture of one installed as well

killer deal - seems all the ones I can find at my local pick-n-pulls are either missing pieces, broken, or completely inaccessible. I'd pay 2-3x what you did for a set

Re: Another 4th gen washer/coolant bottle swap
yes that would be your setup in that picture
well got a little work done tonight the washer bottle fit with a little bit of cutting but nothing major. fits like a glove...strangely enough the holes for the intercooler support were exactly where the bottle needed to bolt. you would think we had planned for it to happen that way ha ha
started on the coolant bottle as well got the hole cut for it it is going on the driverside where the battery is. going to use the 4th gen battery tray for the battery should look pretty good when finished ill have pics of that later on. we had to modify the filler neck on it, it needed to be shortned and turned some.
also had to move the fender support bar to allow for depth of the bottle...cut it and shortened it

Re: Another 4th gen washer/coolant bottle swap
small update....filler neck is back on the bottle with the help of a little epoxy
the epoxy should be pretty well hidden once it is installed and battery is on the tray

Re: Another 4th gen washer/coolant bottle swap
My battery is on passenger side and under my battery is my transmission cooler with electric fans so where the bottle sits it would not work. and on the other side i'd have to run a long hose around the front of the radiator to the bottle which I dont like

Re: Another 4th gen washer/coolant bottle swap
it doesnt look as bad as you would think to have the hose run across the motor...i ran mine along with my ac hoses so it blends in with those.
the engine bay looks 100% better without the ugly bottles in it

Had a question. How did you get the wiper fluid jug to fit between the hood latch bracket? I made 90 degree arms for mine if you remember but i just noticed you didn't have extensions.
