Do yourself a favor and try to see the colors you like in person.
Pictures although nice to look at, can be misleading. When I first talked to my friend "pro. auto. painter" He told me to go down to Dealer lane and look at the Chevy lot for different colors. In my case I was also looking for shades of red. He said that would help us find a starting point and we could tweak it from there. Worked great for me. I see now that Chevy has some new reds out like Ruby Red, Red Jewel and Crystal Red . I think this is the Ruby Red on this Camaro.

This is a Victory Red =

And mine . Started with a PPG brand Rally Red , added some black and Red Pearl additive then shot paint cards untill we got it were I wanted it . =

Well your best bet for the stripping of the paint is to get a sandblaster, it does a better job than just sanding and is also faster. you can buy reasonable ones that will hook up to a home shop air compressor for around $100. For the painting your gonna want a gravity feed painter, not exactly sure on the price but probably around $50. Make sure you have some type of filler as well, never know when you might need it. DON'T USE BONDO! Spend the little extra and get some actual good filler.
