Turning a Firebird into a flying car

Not sure where to put this but I wanted to see what you guys think about this. I think its a total waste of a car. From the commercials they look like they WERE in good shape. On monday July 5 at 9pm est time. the discovery channel there is a show called Ultimate car build off. They are turning a firebird into a flying car.

Re: Turning a Firebird into a flying car

Yea its an Ok show they build allot of pointless cars. Its not about the project its about what a team of builders can build in a short amount of time. Things they are not used to building but they can use their same area of expertise to build. Its about how good the build team is and its a competition. Sure its a waste of a car but Ive seen the kids around here and down south in Atlanta doing worse things to their camaros and firebirds. Id rather see one torn apart and made into a flying car than see one with a crappy bright fluorescent paint job with big 22'' wheels chrome stick-ons all over, big wings, and LED lights all over the car. You cant save em all.

Re: Turning a Firebird into a flying car

So did you watch it? I did; I must say, it was all pretty damn lame. It was like every other time we see a thirdgen on TV, it just gets pushed off a cliff...

L A M E

I think the guys that built it should have jumped, not the car.

Very lame. I could see it in Chip's face too. Neither car flew...one car was pushed off the cliff, and the other drove off and crashed. Both cars WERE nice until they got their hands on them.

Re: Turning a Firebird into a flying car

I didn't like what they did w/ the cars. They ruined two cars for a pointless reason. They could have used any car for what they were doing. Why not use a Thunderbird or some other car with a bird name?

Re: Turning a Firebird into a flying car

Sounds worse than that show with the goofy long haired dreadlock guy who blows things up then comes up with ways to make it better for future use..

Re: Turning a Firebird into a flying car

I don't get the ridiculous time restriction? After making it sound like the world will end after 4 days of build, they send it out for paint?? Why not 2 weeks, it looks like **** but it's well built and MAY work!! Dumbass reality shows.

i think they put a time limit on it because they didnt want them working 24hrs a day for the 4 days.

Re: Turning a Firebird into a flying car

yeah its a pretty stupid show, but sounds like alot of us watched it lol... anyway everytime they push a thirdgen off a cliff it makes ours worth a little more... i think everyone should mess them all up so that i have the only nice one around.

I like the show its two teams a real life budget and no hand outs. The hill climbing hearse's i liked i would drive something like that. But the flying car and supercar minivan was dumb to me.

Re: Turning a Firebird into a flying car

its an alright show but it pisses me off that they commercials only show the car thats gonna win. and maybe a brief flash of the other car. so you already know whos gonna win just from the commercials. otherwise its an alright show sucks they destroyed that firebird.
