Magnet Paint
I just painted my rearend, front and rear calipers, and front controll arms with Magic Paint. It was much easier to use than POR15. The only prep work need to be done was to knock of rust with a wire brush. I used a wire cup brush with my cordless drill and a hand wire brush. I then applied the paint with a dispoable paint gun (permanet glass bowl with replacable aerosal applicators).

Re: Magnet Paint
Looks good considering Ive never been a fan of gloss coats on pitted rust areas of a vehicle. Gloss coats show all imperfections on a surface, anything from inside walls on the home out to the under body of a vehicle. Looks good though

Re: Magnet Paint
Magnet or Magic Paint?
I've seen magnet paint used for smooth wooden walls for like a kids room, to put kiddy magnet stuff on.

Re: Magnet Paint
The topic said Magnet, then the post said Magic. I have seen magnetic (paint with metal in it, to make magnets stick to smooth wooden surfaces) paint. What was so hard about my question, that you failed to understand

Title says Magnetic, but the post says Magic, How was I supposed to distinguish that one was the brand name? And in that case....Why was Magic said?

Re: Magnet Paint
So the Magnet paint for the car seems like neat stuff. But the stuff that Stephen was posting just seems like it'd be a ton of fun!
Can I paint my garage with magnetic paint and stick my tools on the wall so I can see them while storing them? (and really, I'm only half joking!)

Re: Magnet Paint
I can see it as being useful though in a garage setting, to stick work order paper, posters, supplier names and such to. I wonder if you could just buy some powdered metal of some sort, mix it up with standard paint & create your own cheaper?
Might make a decent non-showing auto paint too, as an extra layer of metal for stiffness/rigidity.
EDIT: It turns out tat is exactly what the product is. A metal powder that you had to ther paint you are going to use.

Re: Magnet Paint
I was confused at first too. Magnet paint comes in a spray can at my local hardware store used to stick kids letter magnets to. Its right next to chalkboard paint. There ARE different types to magnet paint.
